Yes, yes... No matter how much we all hate it, it has to be done.. So, here are the rules of Libertas Weyr...


OOC:

*Please watch your language in the CBox or OOC posts. We know it happens and I myself am a horrible potty mouth... or... typer.... but please try and limit it.

*Libertas is literate, third person RP. While I don't expect novel posts, I do expect there to be at least a little bit of effort. No one line posts, not chat speeks, etc. Also, do not RP in first person... Just, don't.

*If it is going to get graphic, either sexually or violently, take it to a mature board. There might be younger kids here and I am not going to be the one trying to explain it to them...

*Do not, for the love of little green dragons, God-mode... This means using another person's character, making your own character perfect and invulnerable, or putting another character in a situation that they have no other choice than doing what you wanted them to.

*A list of your characters must be included in your signature, along with links to their profiles. You will get a warning if this is not done.

*Admin word is law. That's it. That means we reserve all rights to bann you, upon consideration, if you break any rules, as well as suspend you.

RANKERS (Updated 5.31.08)

*If you have a ranker, this means anything metallic in coloration or with some sort of rank in the weyr (such as candidate/weyrling master, Headwoman, etc) you MUST post AT LEAST once a week. This is not hard whatsoever, even crap posts in a thread count. The only exception to this rule is if you have discussed with an admin or posted the reason for your absence on the absence board.

*If you already have one ranker (anything above brown) or a white, you cannot bring in another ranker/white, and it can only be gained through hatching, which is much more unlikely.

RP:

*Godmoding, need I say it again?

*Do not randomly kill your character. This is frowned upon very highly and might have future effects that you might not be willing to face.

*Try to make your character's interesting... Cookie cutters, Queen Hunter's, etc will be roasted and eaten more than likely. Even *good* cookie cutters. I like originality, very... very... much.

*Do not start major plots without admin approval, or break any of the rp rules.

Character Rules:

*Try to be original. I know me saying this again isn't original, but there you have it.

*All characters must be approved by a mod or admin before you have permission to Roleplay that character.

*Your character cannot be totally out there in physical appearance... Remember, this is Pern, not Earth, and some rules do apply.

This means that green eyes will be rare... Not so much that you have to ask if you can have your character have green eyes, but do watch it. Also, they cannot be red eyed, three colored eyed, or something like that... They also cannot have pink-purple-blue, etc.. colored hair. Basically the only way to dye one's hair is to get natural dyes of red or blue and soak them in, and this would have to be continuosly redone.

Finally, as to B-MOD, body modifications... While some piercings are accepted, such as a few ear piercings, they aren't totally accepted, and as such are not the norm... Even ear piercings are rather rare and would only be done personally, and actual jewelry rather scarce. Sometimes gathers will have piercers and jewelry, but don't expect it. What this also means is that your character cannot be totally pierced up, unless there is a specific reason and run by an admin or mod... This means no tongue rings, no nose rings, no eyebrow piercings, no other 'wierd' piercings of any sort. As for tattoos, same goes... They would most likely be personally done and wouldn't be extravegant... They are also looked on poorly by Pern residents and would most likely have negative consequences, as the only ones who are actively tattoed are the Shunned.

*Ranking characters must be played often and well or the privelege of playing them may be suspended or taken away.

*Candidates cannot be deformed, blind, etc. Riders can have injuries including scars, or major injuries, but please... Do not go overboard with this. If your character suddenly becomes blind, he is more than likely to be grounded... Remember this.

*NO MORE TWINS CAN BE CREATED ATM!!!

*Currently, since we are new, you are allowed to make three dragon candidates and two wher candidates at a time. This WILL be changing, so keep watching.

Character Numbers:

(WEYR)
*You start off with a limit of four characters. You can only have three candidates at a time for either wher or dragon, meaning you can have 3 dragon candidates and 2 wher at the same time. THIS WILL CHANGE LATER!!!

*At 100 posts, you can the right to make another character.

*At 200 posts, you can make a 6th character.

*At 350 posts, you can make a 7th character.

*After this number, ask permission from an admin to either kill off one of your characters or to create another.

(HOLD)

*You start off with a limit of two holder characters. Only one can be a Master.

*At 100 posts, you can make a 3rd holder.

*At 200 posts, you can make a 4th holder character.

*At 350 posts, you can make a 5th holder character.

*After this number, ask for permission from an admin to either kill off one of your characters or to create another.

(PLOT)

*Plot character numbers will be revealed when it is started.

Pets:

*Limited to two per person if not flitters.

*Flitters: You are limited to 5 flitters overall, however you divvy them is up to you.
NO MORE FLITTERS CAN BE PRECREATED!!! Unless you ask specific permission and have a good reason why. There are quite a few clutches going on nearly all the time. If you own a Gold Flitter, or a Green, ask a permission for throwing her into a Flight. Golds will clutch anywhere from 10-20 eggs, and Greens 5-10.

(As for specials, Flitter specials are very rare... There may be an Obsidian, Platinum, or Ruby, but it will only be gotten through Hatching... Blacks and Reds are also very rare... Currently the only special that can be created is 1 Red.) (NO MORE WHITES CAN BE PRECREATED)

*Dogs: Probably the most common pet, dogs are seen everywhere on Pern. These dogs are mostly mutts, and do not usually appear as single breeds. THERE ARE NO WOLVES ON PERN!!!

*Birds: Very rare. Only the richest of holders would have a bird, and it would most likely be of the falcon/hawk variety. No parrots, songbirds, etc.

*Cats: No. There are NO tamed cats on Pern. The cats around Libertas will eat you if they can. That is all.

*Runnerbeasts: The equivelant of horses. Common for those who are beastcrafters, farmers, etc.

*Tunnelcats: The equivelant of a ferret. Common among holders.


Flights and Clutchings:

*You may throw your Green, female Red, or female Black Dragon up whenever you would like. (It is nice if you warn an admin though.)

*All Clutching females, of any species, must make arrangements with the admins before you can throw her into a Flight or Run.

*I can understand that sometimes you have a winner in mind for a Flight. All I ask is that you keep it as fair as possible and give other's the chance to win as well. If you are stuck for a winner, use an online randomizer.

*Just because you are the owner of the mother or father does not mean you get to decide just how many eggs there will be, their personalities, or what goes to who. This is up to the admins and mods, though we may discuss it with you, our word will be the final say.

*Do not have females Rising together... While Greens will usually not attack each other, a Black or Red might, and any of the Clutching females will surely fight any other female in their skies.

*Any males can chase any females, though keep it realistic. Bronzes and Browns are less likely to Chase Obsidians and Rubies, and Red and Black males will never Chase a Gold.
