Appearance: When he bothers to stand up straight this blue rider is by no means the tallest in the group, but he is still tall enough to stand out at nearly 6 foot. He sometimes dislikes this certain feature of his appearance, occasionally wishing he were short enough to blend in more. Dark brown hair stops far above similarly muddy eyes, out of the way to keep his vision clear. He always wears simple clothes in shades of brown, white and black.
Personality: Quiet and maybe a little too shy, C'ran certainly does not have a very loud personality. He sticks to his guns when he really believes in something, but this is fairly rare. He is not a very outspoken person, prefering to let others do the talking for him. He has it in himself to be a strong person, but too often he lets the normal doubts and concerns that every person has get to him too much.
In general, C'ran is a soft-spoken boy, though he certainly has his moments, just as any other person. He can be quite curt when he doesn't like someone, and he usually does not have a real reason for disliking people, only a gut feeling. That, and some people just annoy him for no reason whatsoever. Becuase he is so quiet, C'ran is not one to make friends easily, which does not bother him in the least. This is a boy who prefers to stay inside his comfort zone, and will go to great lengths to keep it that way.
In the past turn he's developed a bit of an alcohol problem. It reached a low a few months ago, though now that he has begun his new duties as Candidatemaster, he has begun drinking less.
History: C'ran grew up in an unremarkable little family that resided in Azure Hold. He did not lack any of the necessities in his life, from food to parental affection, though there was never an overabundance of anything. His older brothers and sister picked on him, as siblings do, though he was surely not much fun to bother, because he rarely fought back. They were all a bit surprised when he was Searched at 12 turns, but let him go, as they thought he might find something that he actually enjoyed there. He remained at the Weyr even after he did not Impress at his first Hatching, working for his food and finally enjoying himself. For C'ran, just being around dragons was a joy, and he promised himself that he would stay at the Weyr even if he never Impressed.
