Yes, you need to show a particular amount of respect to staff members and admins, but don't forget to treat all of LoW's members with the same respect you'd want them to show you. The saying, "Treat others as you want to be treated," definitely counts here. 2. We don't know (nor do we care to know) the ages of all of our members. Because of that, language needs to be kept under control. Mild swearing is allowed, both in and out of roleplay, but please: let's not go overboard. If you feel uncomfortable with someone's language, politely and calmly alert them. If the problem continues, alert a staff member. There are word that we absoultely do not want to here. We're sure you know where to draw the line. If you're not sure, use asterics(). 3. Be active.** A bare minimum requested is two posts a week. But that's the bare minumum. If you want to be a truely respected and honored member of the site, we're expecting more than that. 4. That being said, we know that LoW isn't your only life. We understand about parents, vacations, school, ect. So if you're going to be gone for a while, we'll understand: so long as you alert us. Don't be upset if you return a few weeks later to find your roleplay threads have gone on without you, your fellow apprentices warriored, or plot things happened without you. If we know of your absense, we'll try to make it as easy as possible. 5. BE SURE YOU READ THIS ONE. Yeah, all you skimmers, this one is one you definitely have to read. If you've read the Limits & Bans thread you'll know that site members are only allowed five characters. Well, one of the things we've kept from the Original WoodClan is that your first character must be a kit of no more than five and a half moons. You may not take a second character until A.) the first becomes a warrior or B.) staff members actually tell you you're allowed to take another. The reasoning for this is that we want to be sure our members know LoW, WoodClan, and the rules/customs of both well enough to handle more than one character. Now, there are exceptions for this rule. We will tell you if there what they are when they occur. For now, stick with one at first. Chances are, you won't have to wait until the character is a warrior, so long as you read and learn the rules, get along with the other members well, and shows the signs of an (at least) average roleplayer. Second/third/forth/fifth characters do not have to start out as kits. You may create them as warriors/apprentices, should their not be any bans/ect. at that time. 6. StarClan is a very mysterious body. Medicine cats and occasionally leaders are the only ones who had dreams from StarClan. Only rarely will exceptions be made. If you wish for one of your characters to recieve a dream from a dead cat, contact a staff member first. In Character: 1. Respect cats older and higher ranked than you are. Punishment for disrespect varies depending on the situation. 2. The leader's word is law. The medicine cat and deputy's word is right up there, too. Refer to number one for all other cases. 3. Your mentor and the clan's Council will decide when you become a warrior. Unless the ceremony is extremely delayed, please don't start bugging them about it. 4. Likewise, the Council will decide when you are ready to mentor an apprentice. 5. You must be a warrior to take a mate. (For further information on mates and kits, see the Kitting thread.) 6. A queen generally cannot mentor an apprentice. Under some cercumstances it may be allowed, but it happens only rarely. If a she-cat has an apprentice when she discovers she's having kits, the apprentice's training shall be handed over to another warrior at least temporarily. 7. StarClan is to be respected and honored.
