The young queen Softwind has recently given birth to a litter of kits. Her mate, a young warrior named Rainhollow, died just before she kitted.

The kits shall start out as two moons old. However, you may not roleplay them until their mother's Application is accepted (sorry, I haven't even started yet).

They are listed in order of birth.

Thunderkit
Picture
Long-haired dark gray she-cat with pale green eyes.
As first-born, Stormkit is stuck with most of the responsibility in her litter. Which she hates. Even though she's excellent at keeping her siblings in line, she doesn't see it and gets angry when she's stuck taking care of them.
She shows the signs of a good leader or mentor. She holds back her happy emotions and has never been very good at making her feelings known. Instead, she bottles everything up inside, feeling she has to be strong for her siblings.
Named after her father(Rainhollow) and her mother's mother (Cloudstripe).

Ivykit
Picture
Long-haired silver tabby she-cat with light blue eyes
Where Stormkit takes care of her responsibilities because she knows she has to, Ivykit skips out on most of her duties. She does what pleases herself. From birth, Ivykit has been very intelligent and has known the best way to get what she wants. She's manipulative and a good lyer.
All the same, what she wants more than anything is to be fully accepted and respected within her clan. She almost constantly feels a conflict of right and wrong within herself.
She is easily disgusted with her sister Puddlekit and often looses her temper with just about everyone, even her mother.
Named after her father's mother (Lavenderfern).

Galekit
Picture
Gray tom with white on his chin, chest, belly, and paws. Amber eyes.
Galekit is easily the most laid-back of his litter. He would rather watch and see how things play out on their own instead of manipulating or controlling them. He's good-natured and easy to get along with. Of his litter, he easily makes the most friends. He is loyal to the end to his friends, family, and clan. He always feels guilty to lie and often confesses soon after.
Galekit also has a softer streak. He alone is very kind to small Puddlekit. He actually listens to her whinings and plays gently and patiently with her at all times.
The one thing that really get's Galekit's eyes wide with excitement is stories of the Legends and of WoodClanners past. He could listen to the elders' tales all day if his siblings didn't get bored sooner. Every story he hears, he thinks back on later and memorizes.
Named after his mother(Softwind) and his mother's father (Palebreeze).

Puddlekit
Picture
Small gray tabby she-cat with blue eyes
As the runt of her litter, Puddlekit gets teased sometimes, but more so for her personality than her size. She's shy and quiet, but also very sweet. She likes watching butterflies and making up rambling stories instead of wrestling like the rest of her siblings. Her favorite cat in the world is her mother, whom she adores and idolizes. Her second favorite is her brother, who is kind to her and listens to her stories.
Puddlekit often gets lonely, though. While her siblings have an easier time making friends with their littermates, Puddlekit is too quiet to make friends easily. She enjoys her mother's company, but often misses the companionship of someone her own age.
Also a stereotype of the runt, Puddlekit is very whiney. Her siblings often don't give her what she wants, so she'll whine about it and occasionally tattle on them. But it's mostly just to get attention because she's so often ignored.
Named after her father (Rainhollow) and her father's father (Shallowpool).

Post a roleplay sample of the kit to ask for one. If more than one person tries out for the same kit, I'll choose which I feel suits the kit's character best.

Uh.

Why are there two Stormkit's? =o

Stormkit -- tom

EDiT: And I've decided to adopt one, though I'm not sure whether I should take Galekit or Puddlekit...

I'd already talked to Stormeh, and I'd decided to change this Stormkit's name to Thunderkit.

I'm takin' one of them, but I guess I just haven't decided which yet... Then again, maybe I won't... Erf. I love the name Puddlekit, but I'm not too fond of her personality...

^^ Cherry's thinking of trying for Galekit as well.

Not claimed, but if you're thinking of trying out for him then you'll have some competition. ^^ That is, as far as I'm aware.

I'll be choosing the roleplayers based off which better portrays their personality. Cherry is also going for Galekit. Thunderkit's the only one that no one else is interested in just yet.

The sun was rising in the air, illuminating the skies above the treetops with various colours, but mostly light blue and tinges of reddish and gold, whilst on the whole other end of the horizon it was still fairly grey and ominously dark. It was still fairly early in the morning as the cool, crisp air flitted through the skies were easy signs of it, along with the dim light of the rising sun that barely leaked through the eloquent, lofty foliage hanging atop the wooden beams that seemed to surround some of WoodClan's territory and camp -- that is, the parts of it that were not surrounded by the prickly brambles guarding the clearing. A family blue jays twittered cheerfully above a nearby tree's high branches, and the mice slept soundly in their burrows, their soft breathing and closed eyes significant signs of their deep slumber.

A small figure came tumbling out of the well-protected nursery, sapphire pools alight with a sort of warmth and innocence that only kits of her age held and as soon as a tiny butterfly, no larger than her paw came fluttering forth on light wings, the rhythmic beating of it's transparent wings barely heard by her young, untrained ears, the young she-cat seemed to burst into a colorful bundle of energy, her warm giggles - a light, tinkling sound that resembled that of a chime - spilling out of her mouth at what would seem an illegal speed.

No sooner had young Puddlekit set eyes on the young creature did she chase the fluttering figures, her tiny milky paws dancing against the ground in a scrambled, though carefree and somehow graceful, movement. She set after the butterfly as if she had no worries - not that she did - with no abandon, not even afraid that someone - should they catch her in this warming state - would intrude on her peaceful moment and punish her. Not that she should have, but the moon-washed kitten was much too caught up her in her small activity to notice her siblings push out of the nursery, along with a few other of her den mates, and begin their morning romp.

" Hey mute! Whatcha doin'? "

The small she-cat whipped around in surprise, oceanic orbs wide with surprise, before staring at the figure who had spoken, his mouth set into a dark sneer and dark orbs glaring wickedly down at her. The cats that surrounded her continued to snicker at his joke, and young Puddlekit, a familiar flash of fur catching her eye, stared in surprise - though perhaps it was fear - to see Ivykit, standing not so far off, looking down at her with that same demeaning look. Disgusting, it said.

She shivered involuntarily as their gazes locked down on her, dark and dissatisfied, and as her lip quivered, threatening to break out into a cry once more, her blue pools swiveled over to find someone -- something that would give her a sense of comfort. Anything. First she looked for her mother, Softwind, who usually saved her from occasional events such as this particular one; the queen was talking with another queen who was, inevitably, the mother of her persecutors. The young she-cat glanced, almost frighteningly, over at Mudkit and Ivorykit as they lingered over her, amber pools and ivy orbs glinting in the utmost disgust as they waited for some sort of - no matter how feeble it would be - response.

She gave none. Instead, tiny Puddlekit backed away quickly and closed here eyes, suddenly feeling as if she was locked in a cage of her own private horrors. And as she trembled, their jokes and sneers now echoing in her ears for her attempts of blocking them out had been vain and for nothing, the silver kit continued to search -- search for her sweet, sweet refuge.

She couldn't find it. The young kit tumbled over, her ivory paw steps becoming entangled in each other, and forced to open her eyes, flank stinging and limbs shooting with pain -- only to see the cats standing over her again, laughing. Her head swiveled over to her brother - who was the only one out of their litter that was really nice to her and bothered to listen to her stories - but seemed to be caught up in a old story, a legend that some elder had come waltzing over to tell him. Thunderkit was still grumbling about how she had to take care of them and how unfair it was. Her lip trembled again, though this time she managed to stand up and not even caring that her siblings had something better to do, the young kit began to cry. " M-momma? G-galekit?", she whispered and then feeling a bit more confident, though still alone, she opened her mouth to let out another sputtering cry. "Momma!" T-they're - Ivykit's - teasing me again!", she screamed, tumbling back down to the floor again and as the other kits left her alone, spitting words of contempt, she felt it again.

As the silence swept over, she realized that - yet again - she was alone.

words: 865
thoughts: not as good as I'd of like it to be. x3 I'm not sure if I captured her personality that well...

It captured her pretty well. Considering the situation you set her in, it'd be hard to capture any other side of her. x3 Good news is, she's only two moons old, so her Application shouldn't take much more than fifteen minutes or so.

Puddlekit goes to Skye.
