Prologue: Pending investigations, Rhiannon's route

Rhiannon sat on her throne uncomfortably, still getting used to the idea that after the death of her uncle she had been the next in line to the throne. It worried her that they had been targeted in the first place, and currently had half the spy force dedicated to tracking down these assassins to bring them to justice before whatever evil plan they were plotting would reach completion.

Wincing, she got up and started pacing, even if to hide the fact that too much time spent sitting down was starting to get to her. All this waiting for results... she wanted to help, to be the healer she had trained to be, but being a Queen now she was considered too important to risk. Biting her lip, she tried to calm herself down and sit on the throne again, almost staring at the door as she waited for good news to arrive.

....How many people are even part of this? XD

Marilyn? And Isaac, eventually?

But shouldn't she be with Serenity? Or wait...gah, I'm confused. XD

Rhin is the new Serenity XD

((Oh, OH, right. I'm not sure if I ever editted Marilyn's profile, but ah well. Hope you don't mind if Rhiannon has a sister suddenly. XD))

Marilyn opened the doors to the throne room. She had heard this was where Rhiannon was, and she wanted to check up on her.

"Sis? Are you in here? Oh, good, I finally found you, I've been looking everywhere." She giggled, "Oh, look at you, all grumbly and worried...what's wrong? Why are you in here all by yourself?"

Rhiannon took a deep breath as her sister appeared, feeling somewhat relieved for her presence. She adjusted the crown on her head, resisting the urge to take it off and go for a walk in the gardens or something when Marilyn commented on how she looked, causing a hesitant grin to appear on her face.

- "Because I'm the Queen, Mari. And that means i get stuck here all day listening to grumpy old men tell me whom i should get married to and 'secure the bloodline'."

She groaned, leaning back in the throne. Though there had been perks to being the Queen as opposed to a princess, she found the downsides to be exponentially larger as well. Being allowed to simply decide on her own who -- and when -- to marry was something she longed to take for granted again.

- "But yeah... How've you been doing lately as the new crown princess?"

There was a chance her sister'd be getting the same treatment she was, hopefully to a lesser extent. She was too young to have kids, dammit!

"Surely, no one will mind if you take a walk or something, being all cooped up and stressed out in here all alone won't do your country any good, will it?" She said as she walked across the throne room to Rhiannon and sat cross legged on the arm of it. "Oh, haha, I only get a few of those, but you know after you deny enough they'll probably all come to me!" she giggled.

"I'm good, everyone's a lot nicer than before. They seemed to think I didn't matter much before, but now I do, so they pay attention when I call them. It's kind of nice, but I miss having a little space....Oh, listen to me, it's probably even worse for you, isn't it?" she asked, kicking her legs a little.

- "Yeah, you'd think the survival of the half elven race depended on me the way they throw suitors at me."

Rhiannon started giggling as well, poking her sister in the side for teasing her like that. Still, Marilyn's suggestion was a good one though, and she stood up, straightened the crown again and straightened her back as she looked at her sister in a faked haughty way.

- "Very well, I shall allow you to escort me to the gardens."

Taking a piece of parchment, she wrote a small note and placed it on the throne. The words would be clearly visible to all that as much as glanced at the paper.

- "Right, let's get out of here before they send the King of Cochin to dine with me or something."

"Tee hee," She grinned. "I would be honored."

"Yeah! Let's go, let's go!" Mari would grab her sisters hand, giggling and dragging her along with her towards the throne room doors, until she moved by herself and matched her speed.
