Kaliana Ribiero entered the large football stadium, unable to help rolling her eyes at the extravagance of it all. Huge bleachers, giant concession stands, everything the school's brilliant colors and the football posts towering above it all in the center. All of that, that waste of money, to watch guys crash into each other in an effort to get a tiny ball to one side. It just seemed barbaric and pointless to Kali, as she just couldn't see why you would be motivated to run full tilt at someone else to have your brains addled around. So obviously she was not here to admire the football field or the players. She was here to check out the track.

Not that she was dressed for the occasion exactly wearing a bright pink dress with dark jeans underneath and bright green shoes along with giant hoop earrings and other bright jewelry. No she certainly didn't look much like an athlete with her pink dress and her heels, in fact she didn't look much like anything. But Kali liked it that way, and she liked the startled impressions she got from her wild and bright outfits. It wasn't as though she was trying to impress, or show off... She just found them interesting and it was the only way she let herself be wild and crazy.

She slowly made it to the starting line, looking at the long stretch before the track gracefully curved around and returned back to her. She was going to be doing the 100 meter hurdles, the 300 hurdles, as well as the high jump. Her long legs and height did come in for handy for something (besides answering the repetitive question of if she was a model as apparantly anyone tall with long legs was a dumb bimbo that showed off ugly clothes). She slowly started walking around the track, completely absorbed into picturing herself running the hurdles, as you needed to visualize if you wanted to succeed.

((Oh yes... better say its reserved for Seth))

(sorry it took so long to reply!)

Seth got out of his car, he parked in the same regular parking space. From his car he could see the entrance to the school and the football field. Who could ask for more. He looked down at the field and spotted a girl wandering around. He grinned, "A perfect way to start off the year." He said to himself. He slung his backpack over his shoulder and then walked down to the girl. When he got to her he noticed her clothes were a bit odd, but she was pretty. "Hey." He said to her. He wasnt good at getting to know other people, so in all his years at the high school he hung close to the football and basketball players, and then of course only the most popular girls in school. "I'm Seth Heaton, perhaps you've heard of me?" He asked a little too proudly, but it was enough to get a laugh.

Kali was busy thinking about how many steps she'd want to take between hurdles when she heard an unfamiliar voice, and her thoughts all came crashing down around her. She was planning on just ignoring him and continuing walking when the voice once again descended upon her ears, now introducing himself as the Seth Heaton... how could you have not heard of him? He was the star jock of the barbaric sport sometimes referred to as Football. She stopped abruptly and turned around to face him head on... well, she did have to look up as he was quite a bit taller than her. Her dark brown eyes surveyed him critically, looking for some sort of motive of him coming up and talking to her, yet she was stumped to find one.

"Perhaps," was all she said, feeling a bit annoyed for really no good reason at all. But she had a hot temper, like most Brazilian women, and it often flared up for no reason at all. "I'm Kaliana Ribiero, perhaps you've heard of me?" she said, almost challengingly. Some people knew who she was, if only because she was a genius and wore bright and flamboyant clothing. "Look, did your football buddies put you up to this or something? Or are you going to ask me to do your homework this year?" she said accusingly, her voice still hinting at a south american accent. She just could not see why the star of the football team would be talking to Kali, the nerd. As though she was beautiful in an exotic sort of way, she didn't see that, and was just simply a pessimistic person.

((Whoa... that came out longer than expected... and don't worry about it!))

Seth grinned and looked her over. She was firey, Seth wasnt much attracted anymore but it couldnt hurt to stay around and talk, perhaps flirt a little. "Sorry, no, I havent." He said to answer her question of whether he knew her or not. "But I came here on my own. And if anyone on the football team puts anyone up to anything, its me." He said cooly and calmly, but still had a hit on a grin on his lips.

'Is the really that unpopular?' he asked himself as she doubted his reasons for joining her. Seth looked past her shoulder, he saw a few cars pulling around and he saw a few friends walk into the school already with girls hanging on their arms. That would be Seth soon, it wouldnt be long now. But he liked to mess with girls like Kali, they didnt fall so much for his charm and good looks, it was nice to be challenged even if he wasnt planning on making a relationship out of it.

"Well that certainly shows you've got a good sense of morals," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. She followed his gaze over to where his 'friends' were. Those weren't real friends, as she bet if Seth were unpopular they wouldn't give him a second glance. Then again, even having fake friends was better than being a cold loner like Kali herself. She just still didn't get why this guy was speaking to her... there had to be a reason... Did he think he'd get a quick lay because she'd fall for his looks and popularity? Because that certainly wasn't working, as the exotic Brazilian girl had made herself numb to falling for such petty tactics.

"You know... those girls absolutely disgust me... They really and truly do... Are they that insecure with themselves that they can't spend a minute away from their lug-head boyfriends? And they're clinging to them as if they let go the whole world's going to fall apart," she said, turning her gaze back to Seth. "And I'll bet you like that huh? Pick the ditziest girl as long as she's good-looking, preferably blonde I'll bet? Then just toy with her until you find some fresh face you decide you like better," she said, raising an eyebrow. Her voice wasn't angry, or even accusing, it was more of a statement, like that of a lawyer's talking to someone on the witness stand.

((Hehe, Kali's mean... Ah well...))

Seth just looked at her, he didnt regret coming down to talk to her, it wouldnt probably be as fun as flirting around with all the girls in the commons, but it certianly was intresting. "I take it you dont like jocks much?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow. He glanced up at the guys, they had all gone inside. "You seem a tad stereotypical if you ask me." He said as he kept a steady look towards her.

Kali just blinked for a few moments... he hadn't gone away yet. After everything she said... he still hadn't left. Was he insane or something? In fact she was so surprised at this, thinking he would have gotten angry and walked off, that she just stood there watching him for a moment. She even had to replay what he said in order for her to comprehend it she was so caught off guard. And Kali did not like being caught off guard, as she liked to be in control.

"Well then... since you're mister open-minded... prove my stereotypical view wrong," she said, a slight smile gracing her features. She looked at him for a minute, and her smile widened slightly as she watched him. "And you should try snapping your wrist a bit more when you're following through... You'll get a better spiral," she said, with a slight shrug as she looked over the rest of the track with her gaze. If she were a guy, she probably would have made a great football player, because she knew the physics of it, and she was very good at logic and strategies (being more of a chess girl herself). However by commenting on that, she was admitting that she'd watched him play... something she didn't like to admit.

Seth looked her over for a moment, trying to figure her out. It really was too much conversation for his liking, but he wasnt about to leave. "What do you know about football?" He asked, knowing he would get a smart ass remark, but that was really the only reason he asked it. He didnt care much for why she knew what she knew. Seth figured she was a genius or something in the beginning since she asked if he was looking for a tutor.

"Maybe you should ask what don't I know," she said, suddenly finding the whole conversation rather amusing, the coy smile still on her features. She did look 10 times more attractive with a smile then when she didn't, as it lit up all of her features. Sadly she didn't smile much, so Seth was in for a treat... even though the smile was a bit mocking. She shook her head slightly as she continued watching him. "Simple physics show that if you flick your wrist you'll get a much better spiral... Oh yeah and release a bit sooner if you're going for distance... I'll bet you anything it'll improve your throw," she said with raised eyebrows. She did a school project in physics once on football throwing, as they had to find a real life way to apply it. It wasn't as though she was checking out the football guys or anything.

Seth just stared at Kali, he had gotten the remark he was looking for but he really didnt care for the details. "Well thanks for the tips sweetheart, but I am sure my spiral is just perfect and my distance wonders." He said in a mocking tone fit to match hers. He wasnt going to be showed up by her, thats just not how things worked in Seth Heaton's world.

"Sweetheart am I now?" she said, raising her eyebrows. She thought he might even be flattered by the fact that she'd been watching him, but no, he had to be the jerk as she'd predicted he'd be. Ah well, it certainly was worth a try, but yet again she got no respect. "Sorry, hun," she said, deciding that if he was using nicknames she might as well also, "for damaging your ego a bit, by being a girl with a brain... Or knowing a thing or two about the physics of the sport. Your plays could use some work too, if you don't mind me saying... Rather simplistic and easily predictable, but I'm sure you think they're perfect so I'll let you go on in that dreamworld of yours," she said with a slight shrug. "But if you want to go places with this team you've got to use your brain."

Seth just looked at her, not really wanting to argue any longer, he had other things to see and do. He knew when he would walk away that she would snicker and sneer, but she could get over it. He shook his head and grinned, it was a little funny that she thought she knew everything about the sport, sure she might know how to make things perfect, but was she on the team? No. Was she out there every friday night under the bright lights, with the voices of cheerleaders and screaming fans in her ears? No. She knew nothing of what she was talking about. He turned and walked up to the school, and as he turned the first bell sounded, fifteen minutes till classes started.

Again, this boy completely shocked her... as instead of taking her challenge or saying something back, he just started walking away. As she went back over what she said, she realized it was a little harsh and felt a bit bad about it. That's usually how it went, her brain and temper getting ahead of her so she just acted all high and mighty when she really wasn't truly a snooty sort of person. And he hadn't really been mean to her at all, she now realized. She just got so worked up about looking at specific details she ended up missing the big picture, so she just stood there watching him walk away for a moment before she caught up, surprisingly well in her rather high and skinny heels.

"Hey," she said, not rudely or anything as she tapped his arm to get his attention. "Sorry about... me, I guess," she said, now with a slight real smile on her features. "You aren't all bad... I guess, and I was trying to be helpful in my... odd sort of way, so anyway..." she kind of trailed off, now feeling stupid for having said anything at all, because although she was a genius, her social skills certainly were lacking. "Good luck, though I still think my advice would help," she said, though her voice was now much more joking. "And if you want to see real athletics, come to a track meet," she teased before entering the school, headed towards her Advanced Placement Biology class. She really could be a nice, witty, pretty, and fun person to be around... when she tried.

Seth was suprised when she caught up with him, although it didnt bother him a bit. "Don't worry about it....." He said trailing off and then he supported a grin, "And I'll have to think about those tips." he said playfully. In truth he probably would use them, only because he wouldnt want to risk not being the best. The Laguna High school football team had never lost a game, and Seth wasnt about to let the team down. He watched her as she hurried off in the opposite direction as him, he was more going to find a few friends and maybe see Brooke.

[News]

The old posts have been deleted! We will be starting this year over again. Whatever year you said your characters where in their character sheets is the year they are going into. We have no teachers so far. You are allowed to have more than one character, so if your intrested in being a teacher we would be more than happy to accept you! We only need four teachers, it doesnt sound like many but its very hard to find people willing to take that responsibility. You may start posting whenever you want. Your characters will not know anyone unless you have already talked to someone and are planning on having your characters know eachother. I want to remind you that you arent allowed to be in two placed at once unless you are in a class. You may be in a class and then out at the lawns at the same time, only because classes tend to take up several days time and can get boring after a while. Make sure to look at the cheer signups if you are planning on being a Laguna High Cheerleader. Madelyn as our head cheerleader will be making first cuts soon!

[Help?]

You may contact Principal Brentwood if you need anything, just send him a PM and he will be getting back with you as soon as possible. The chat box is another way to get help, you can ask anyone there and most likely get a very quick answer. Although we do recomend you send a PM.

[Special Thanks]

The admins here at Laguna High want to send a special thanks to the admins over at Wizard Magic (Kaliana Ribiero on here!) for helping with the codes, it would never look as pretty without them! Thanks so much!
