Vent update: Liz to report via email this week.

New member introductions: Tien reaches 40 hours on Nov 1; Roger achieved 20 hours and gets a key.

Sign up: 23 gardeners for 13 days - if you opened twice last quarter, sign up with a partner, if you only opened once, sign up alone.

If you are sick on your opening day, you need to find a substitute by either finding someone yourself or if you are too sick, call another garden member and ask them to find someone.

Laura maintains a message board and posts opening schedule, minutes, and bylaws. The link is http://z9.invisionfree.com/LCBH_Garden.

Trash cans: empty both trash cans on your opening day, one is in the arbor area, the other is near the compost

Switch quarterly meeting to last week of January, April, July, October: Penny explains that this will solve the problem of low attendance at the August meeting.

Add an additional day to the opening schedule: Thursday from 6 pm to dusk as of May 1 until September 15.
VOTE: Yes 16; no 1; abstain 1.

Manu would like to be pond/chemical/filter boss to better control this one important aspect. If you discover a problem with the pond filter or the condition of the pond, email Manu directly. Laura still feels that the pond was taken away without the proper procedure. She feels that this would put Manu the sole proprietor.
Manu to control/maintain chemical balance and filter.

Need to add soil to the pond for Gigantor to burrow into for the winter. Liz to check the proper amount and mix.

Unhook hoses and drain for the winter. If you water after the hoses have been prepared for the winter, you need to redrain hoses.

Mark to contact Steve to arrange donation of water barrels to Green Guerillas.

Vote for three-person steering committee. Jennifer proposes one-year term with no term limits. Candidates are Brandon, Dan, Jennifer, Penny

Final parks money ($5K) uses: signage or other high-ticket item; cannot use for operating costs.

Purchases: supplies for fixing the bench by the poplar; Penny and Patrick to fix over the winter.

Purchase solar lights.

Penny needs information from gardeners on Bissett plants that died in order to get replacement plants.

Zoe may be able to take Sasha in two months; Liz will ask friend to take Sasha in the meantime.

Keep the tree mover.

VOTE: Yes 17; no 2; abstain 1.

Henry will submit a fundraising proposal in a few weeks. It is recognized that we should build on reputation of hat parties. Discuss hat party at February meeting.

Hector to get reimbursed for dirt for his plot to fill in rat holes.
