So I'm not sure if anyone here has ever tried to use the Portal here on invisionfree, but I would truly recommend doing so. It is a handy feature which allows you to subscribe to topics of your choosing and then view them quickly and easily. For starters, the Portal link is located on the top left corner of the forum. If you click it, you can explore a bit.

To subscribe to a topic or a forum, simply select the thread you want to track. Scroll down to the bottom of the thread, and on the left hand side you will see a "Topic Options" link. There you can select either "track this topic, subscribe to forum, or download/print this topic." Select either track or subscribe. Once you have done so, go back to your Portal and in the top box in the left hand column you will see several links, one of which is "my controls." Select this and then you will see under the "Subscriptions" section of the page it brings you to a choice of "Topics" or "Forums." Depending on which one you click, you will see a collection of whichever topics or forums you had subscribed to.

Pretty neat huh?

You can also, from your portal, click on the "my assistant" link and check the days most active topics, top ten posters, your last ten posts, etc. Just thought I'd get this out there, since it's come in handy for me more than once =]
