In the latest issue of Mojo (the one with The Who on the cover, not sure what month), there's a Klaus drawing as illustrationg for a review of the LOVE cd. I don't know if it's a new drawing or not, but I've never seen it before. If I had a scanner, I'd scan it and post it here, but I don't, sorry. sad.gif

Thanks Lauren! I appreciate your letting us know about this. I'll have to take a look at Mojo when I stop by the bookstore.

BTW, maybe if you have a digital camera you could take a shot of it and post it for anyone who might not have Mojo available to them. I'm very curious to see this drawing! smile.gif

Thanks again!

Haha, that's what I usually do. I will do that, good idea.
Here it is. Is it a new one or not? Oh, and ignore my ugly brown carpet.

Thank you very much Lauren! I really appreciate it!

I don't know when Klaus did that one. I'm not sure if I've seen it before.

I love it--it's the Revolver poses, but a totally different look. Awesome.

You can still see Klaus looking out from under George's hair! biggrin.gif

Thanks again!

You're very welcome, sorry it's not a better picture of it. I noticed when I was taking the picture that the drawing says "Klaus Voormann 06" on the side, so it was done sometime this past year, I guess.

Wow, Lauren, thanks for taking a pic of that! I love it!

I especially love the George, the hair is beautiful! And I love how it has a little Yellow Submarine for Ringo and the Ohm symbol for George and George Martin and everything.

Very cool!

I don't think this cover is in great shape, but I may bid on it anyway. I want to see the Klaus art and interview!

Here's the link....no bidding against me now.... laugh.gif

And here's a link for an LA Times article from 1979 about StarArt (with some quotes from Klaus):

About the Starart book...there is a myspace page about it with a video (look for Merv Griffin) that has short interview clips (from 1979?) of most of the artists (everyone I think except for Cat Stevens). Here is the link...

Klaus is 3rd to be interviewed after Joni Mitchell and John Mayall...

Another veteran of the Concert for Bangladesh has been showing art in Germany lately.

See the link below to read about it and to see some examples.

Hi all!

Hope this isn't old news to everybody:

I just learned that in 2007 Klaus produced the sleeve art for the new album of Scottish band Wet Wet Wet.

Here is a link to the information.

Hi,

Recall that this is not a new find to persons on this group, though there's a fair bit of info on Klaus if you search Deborah Chesser's blog:

Klaus Voormann info on everybodyishotisdead blog

It includes a journal entry from the late 70's describing a conversation with KV on his thoughts on art e.g. airbrushing.

Best,

Matty
