Forum Move, KK is moving to a vBulletin forum

Note: The cost of transferring the database will very likely exceed 100 USD,

Clean slate, for several reasons:

1) We can save the money for something we may need in the future (eg, more expensive web hosting).

2) If we transfer the database, some content from the old board will most likely be broken (formatting, links, etc).

3) Dealing with said brokenness will be a pain, so what we can do is just archive this board and copy anything relevant over that we need, when we need it.

$100 to transfor maybe 20 member names? how is that possable.

I say, we need a clean start, but those who are important (i.e. the nbk and wfto people) should still be those people.

Yeah that's what we intend to do, moderators will still be moderators, etc.

If all of us click a few times a day on those google-adds, shoudn't we generate enough money in no-time? We did it too a few years ago!

Clean slate for me too. With regards to WFTO, we no longer need a lot of the old, redundant threads about possible creatures/rooms/spells now that we have a semi official list on google docs.

Right silly me. Patrician don't get any money, those adds provide revenue for Invision. Ah well...

When are we going to move anyway, and what will the website be called

We're moving as soon as the website portion of the new website is functional. The new site will be a hybrid KK/WFTO site (Both www.keeperklan.com and www.warfortheoverworld.com will point to it).

The new forums are already online, just not properly customized and integrated into the site yet (mainly because the site isn't done yet ).

well, just make sure that the dk1 smilies are in, and if you can, make some dk2 smilies

Sorry for my lack of imput yesterday - the notion of moving came as a rather sudden shock to me (spite subtle warnings of it elsewhere!).

I'm quite happy to move, and whats more, to have a clean slate - sounds like a good idea.

I'll add the old ones and any new ones you can find. Once we're over there I'll set up a thread for it.
