like in getbackers if you watched the anime ban-chan always says "just a iipun" (just a minute) or like "kazuki no ito" (kazuki of the strings).. some scanlations tend to over do stuff too like with desu, uso, nan ni etc.. and then it gets too complicated..

so, like or no like?

OMG There's only two votes, and one of them was me!

Yeah, yeah, I'll admit it: I like to know exactly what everyone is saying!

Lol I get the third vote! I also like to know everything that is being said. Even if it's hard to explain!

i like it untranslated because when its translated it usually sounds weird and you can basically get what it means untranslated anyway

I prefer to see full and complete English in my translations, always. Leaving something in the original language seems to defeat the purpose of translating at all, doesn't it? Some phrases, said if every sentence or so, might be omitted, though.

Yeah, it's nice to know what you're reading...I mean the pictures will only get you so far wink.gif . Aside from that I won't really throw a fit over a *, leading to an explanation crammed at the edge of the page.

wouldn't it be possible to let them use the original japanese expression, but have a footnote somewhere the first time they say it explaining what it means? then everyone wins smile.gif
