Kamen Rider Chronos

In our day-to-day lives, we all seem to live by one thing, and one thing alone, the clock. And as such we all either seem to be trying to fill our time, or completely wasting it. However time is not something to be filled, or wasted, it is a precious resource and without it there would be nothing. In the future creatures known as Imagines have traveled back through time to the present, to try to change the flow of time to make their future all the better. However, when a young man by the name of Mike Brown comes across a device known as the Rider Pass, he enters into the struggle of the Imagines. With the Rider Pass, Mike is able to use the T.I.M.E. System, and transform into Chronos, a warrior known as the Kamen Rider, and the conductor of the Train of the Ages, Time Liner. But will its next stop be the past, or the future?

I was going to wait until another fic was finished to do this one, but since I've had a teaser logo for this on my site for well over a year, and the section at my site has been open for nearly two months now, it's time to start this. Since I've mostly been doing PR fics for the past few years, I thought I'd branch out a little and try something a little different. Still on the same case of writer's block that I was on a while back. I don't know what it is, but 2008's kinda been the year where I've gone through the longest spat of writer's block, and because of it, my mind's been wandering around so much. In fact I've recently been developing series outlines for a couple of things, as well as writing part of the first ep of one of them. So I'll I'm going to say is just hang on, and the next ep will happen when it happens.

I was just curious. I'm also been having writer's block with my Jungle Fury stories. I'm not even done with the prologue and because of the events with Fran & Dominic, I can't figure out what the first story about the Brown Eagle Ranger ought to be.

I've got some good news, after listening to Climax Jump a couple of times tonight and looking up the full English lyrics to the song, I've started some work on Chronos ep 3 again. However I need a second opinion on something I've been thinking about doing since December 13. Basically what I'm thinking of doing is changing the Chronos transformation call from "time trip, activate" to simply "Kamen Rider", since that's what Dragon Knight's using, and it doesn't really appear that Adness is doing anything differently than what I'd normally do in one of my fics. Now if I were to make this change that means going back to the first two eps and making the necessary changes.

Just FYI, I've made the change that I said I was going to do in my previous post to eps 1 and 2. And not to throw this thread a little OT or anything, but sine I was thinking about the transformation change, I did the same thing to Primal Strike ep 24.

As far as characters go, for the most part the ones that did come up in the three episodes, and the ones that would've come up all more or less would've been the same as their Den-O counterparts, so here's the ones who definitely would've had an entry in various sections;

Sherman - the stationmaster. Named as such because the owner of Time Liner was named Peabody
the time man - the future version of Emmett Wells, whose past self transforms into Kamen Rider Aeon
the mysterious boy - would've eventually met up with Mike under Dragpurpler's influence, and been the Chronos version of Kai. Named Logan. As a deviation from Den-O however, Logan would've transformed into Kamen Rider Kairos when it was looking like just sending out Imagines wasn't enough. Also instead of the scene in Den-O where Kai literally tears open a hole in time, it would've been Kairos using his sword to do so. Profile would've eventually moved to the Riders page.

Now as far as further characterization and themes go, aside from the obvious maintenance of time from Den-O, I was also building up a theme around the one thing that happens to us all in time; growing up. As such each of the main four Imagines that Mike allies himself with represent aspects of us growing up. Here's the rundown;

Peaches - the sort of tough guy bravado that most boys think they need to aspire to. As well as having the cojones to get things done
Shelldar - ability to attract the opposite sex (or the same sex if that's your thing, I'm not gonna discriminate)
Goldraxe - physical strength
Dragpurpler - that wild streak we all kinda wish we had at some point, or want to embrace. Dragpurpler is also a twofer in that he also represents that part of us that wishes we could be a kid again

Shelldar's intro arc, and the intro of Rod Form. More or less the same plot as their Den-O counterparts, with an added sub-plot about Mike trying to work up the nerve to ask out a girl he's sweet on

Sixth Stop: Quoth the Rider...
Like ep three it would've combined two episodes of Den-O in this case the whole Crow Imagin arc. The only real difference would've been that I was going to call it the Raven Imagine, and his contract holder would've been named Lenore, and her ex would've been named Edgar

Seventh Stop: Wipe Your Tears
Eighth Stop: My Strength has Made You Cry
Goldraxe's intro, and the Axe Form intro arc. Again more or less the same as the Den-O eps they would've been based on

The Kamen Rider Aeon intro arc

The arc revolving around Cygfried, and Wing Form

An adaptation of the Den-O arc that ended up with the future Yuuto transforming into Zeronos, and fighting alongside Den-O and the past Yuuto.

Final Stop: The End of the Line
The finale. Aside from the obvious adapting of the last two eps of Den-O there also would've been some footage from Ore, Tanjou as to serve as the final fight with Kairos. This might've also been a triple length episode as well.

Movie: Journey through the Decade
Taking place about a week or so after the end of the series, it opens with Mike cleaning the shop one night, and wondering what his life would've been like if he were still Chronos. The next day Mike is confronted two new Imagines (Imagin from movies like Climax Deka and Final Countdown), which baffles him since the only Imagines who should still exist are his friends. Upon being attacked by these new Imagines, Time Liner appears, a door opens up, and Anna throws Mike the Rider Pass, and he transforms again. After fending off the Imagines, Mike goes aboard Time Liner. Peabody explains that a timeline where a 30-year-old Mike is possessed by an evil Imagine is about to align itself with Mike's current time, however Peabody is unsure as when the event will take place. So now Mike must travel through the next ten years of his life to figure out what will happen. The movie also features three new Riders; Kamen Rider Tempus (New Den-O), Mike's 30-year-old self as Dark Chronos (Nega Den-O), and future Mike's consort Kamen Rider Ananke (Yu-ki). The end of the movie would've featured Chronos taking on a new Super Climax Form to finish off the evil Imagine possessing future Mike. And before anyone asks, yes the title of this movie would've featured an English version of a certain Gackt song.

The reason why the Jellyfish takes its image from Twenty Thousand Leagues, is because of a scene from the movie Sphere that I may or may not be remembering correctly. I think it had to do with something about one of the characters being afraid of jellyfish when reading Verne's book.

Also the Anthopper brothers in the episode(s) they would've appeared would've been named Shoveler and Fiddler given the pair's respective weapons.

Almost forgot to mention, I'm not entirely done with Chronos just yet as there will be a Chronos world arc in my Decade-inspired Goseiger adaptation Power Rangers Dimensional Shift (and it'll have a fairly significant plot). Plus I'm not entirely done with doing Rider fics just yet, as I have my sights set on adapting OOO and Fourze as Kamen Rider Multi King, and Power Rider Apollo, respectively.
