Man Arrested for Uploading Kamen Rider Fourze on Korean Video Site
ACCS (The Association of Copyright for Computer Software) reported that a man was arrested on the suspicion of posting the 10th episode of Kamen Rider Fourze on a Korean streaming site Pandora TV without the permission of Toei.
The 44 year-old office worker from from Sapporo-city, Hokkaido was arrested by the Community Safety Planning Division of Gunma Prefectural Police and Maebashi station last February 23rd. The police says this is the first arrest case in Japan due to copyright infringement using Pandora TV.
Having admitted his guilt, already seized the six evidences including his PCs and hard discs from his house on the day of arrest. He uploaded the 10th episode of Kamen Rider Fourze on Pandora TV last November 13th, 2011 to make money from advertising revenue, through affiliate programs, and also wanted to be famous by posting videos.
The police suspects that the man had already uploaded at least than 1,700 videos on Pandora TV and FC2. Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 10 “Clash in the Moonlight” was the last part of Tomoko Nozama's focus episodes, and the debut of Kamen Rider Fourze Fire States.
There have already been a number of arrests made in Japan regarding the uploading of copyrighted contents on video streaming sites. There's the Kamen Rider OOO Episode 27 uploader, Gundam UC Episode 3 uploader, and the one who pirates the 26th episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, to name a few.
