there's this flash sound effects page where you can create your own sound effects. if you hit randomize you can get some really odd stuff. you can adjust the settings yourself but i have absoutly no clue how any of that works but you can try it out here

Reminds me of the sound effects from Mario brothers on the NES. Real retro. These seem pretty good for some menu sound effects. I could improve them in my sound editors. Pretty good find.

lol-it's cool if your into 8 bit sfx,I think this is what they use to make mega man 9 sfx.
