Thanks Junius and I thought I'd start it off with a little piece of my garden - where I sit and lap up the sun

Very nice!
You're lucky. Mine's tiny. Although it used to be a lot smaller until we redesigned it for the final time a couple of months ago. We're redesigned it about six times, drastically everytime, and were never happy with or could never afford to do what we wanted until now. Now we like it and enjoy it even though it's small. We've got a long alley as well but I'm not showing you that, it's useless! The final stage took a lot of hard work to get that lawn as there was slabs under the deck tiles and weeds and bad soil under that. It took a whole week, day in day out! BEFORE ![]() AFTER ![]() It's a bit bigger to the left and behind me. I was trying to keep the mongrols out of the pic |

What a beautiful show of lupins Glo. I see you're just like me, pots everywhere.
Every year I say 'no more pots' as the daily watering becomes a chore, but next year there I am again filling them with colourful annuals. I've even bought extra to grow acid loving plants which won't grow in my soil. Love your little area too Fwenchie, part of the joy of a garden is eating outside on a beautiful day. My table gets used a lot by my girls in good weather, they take their paints out there and produce masterpieces (well they are to me) and when they've finished they have what they call a 'picnic'. I must dig out my camera and snap some of my favourite plants. |

Nice gardens.... you've done well, or did you hire somebody to do it for you? Like your husbands/ boyfriends or sex slave.

Lovely gardens on here. Quite pleased with myself that I guessed right that those flowers are lupins, Glo - as confirmed by Jovi abit further down. The plants are beautiful - I'm not green fingered I'm afraid but do love to see a nice garden.
I think gardens have become like an extra room now, all the bits and pieces we put in them. They are relaxing to sit out in |

I loved your photos with the snow in your garden too, Lifesmate - especially how the snow clung to that tropical looking bush. A bit cold to sit out in then though

These are lovely gardens and all so different in design, they're as individual as the people they belong to. It doesn't matter how big or how small a person's garden is as long as that little bit of ground is loved and nurtured.
Keep up the good work, all of you. |
