What operating system do you have?
How old is the Microsoft office disc? If it is an old one it might not be compatible with your operating system. Also; is your laptop still under warranty? When it said do you want to open the folder did you say yes? I know a few computer sites that deal with such problems... do you want me to put it on and see what they say? If yes I need to know what OS you have and about the MO disc. |

Ok.... but if you are still having problems I will put it up on those excellent computer forums and I am sure they will come back with a solution. They've helped me out in the past/ they solved my problems for me.

On that laptop its XP..
Mr F had a go last night, he went more indepth than me and the laptop is saying it is not compatable with the disc that MO has been put on.. Which i find very odd, i thought everything was compatable nowdays..?? The disc is a CD-R.. The person who brought the disc round had just loaded it on their laptop which is a new one and Vista, (but it didnt come with MO) and it d/l fine.. It had also been d/l onto a XP laptop and that was fine too.. |

Some discs are only compatible with certain manufactures. I've got Vista and I tried to load my Word 2007 on another Visa machine and it wouldn't work. I found out that is was only compatible with other Dell users. They put something in it to stop their product being abused. |

I would imagine that is the problem... that your disc is not compatible with your OS. If you still have problems Flossie let me know and I will ask those sites I mentioned. |
