Morning Ron.
I have started my day off by contacting Old El Paso about my jar of Jalapenos. Here's what I emailed them. Hello. I have a jar of Old El Paso sliced green Jalapenos the hot ones with the 3 red chillies indicator. I am a reasonably fit 48 year old male with 3 strapping sons all in there early 20's 2 of which work full time as scaffolders and one as a ship builder. However none of us are able to open this particular jar of our favorite pickle. Last night we all had to go without Jalapenos on our pizza and today none of the boys have jalapenos in their sandwiches for packed lunch. Is their a reason why the lid has been fastened so tightly to our jar of Old El Passo sliced green Jalapenos, Is it some sort of challenge like that TV show The Cube with that Phillip Schofield. I would be happy to return this rogue jar to you so that you and your staff can take up the challenge but am not sure if I should return the item to Mexico, Switzerland or Uxbridge, please could you advise. Many thanks for all your fantastic products and the fun we have had attempting to open this particular jar. Kindest regards. Well lets see what they have to say about that then shall we. Today I have decided to make Cockerleekie soup so am just off down the shops to buy fresh cockles from the fishmonger and fresh leeks from the green grocer. Have a nice day all of you. Oh I will be sure to let you know what, if anything Mr Old El Paso has to say about his jar of chillies. TATA. |

Hi Horni. Good luck with the soup! I think you're going to need it! I for one will be intrigued to hear the reply from Mr Old El Paso. |

Tell you what Ronald! Words of advice here.
Cockerleekie soup has no cockles in it and dont try making it with them. Simmered cockles and leeks placed in a blender then whizzed around dont make a very nice colour for soup and it kinda smells a bit funny as well. Mr Old El Paso seems to be avoiding me for some reason, have had no reply from him today at all. Lazy bloody Mexicans. Where is the gang, where have all the Keefers gone? Im sad |
