New Nasa photographs show most of the flags placed by crews of the Apollo spacecraft are still standing on the Moon.

Shadows cast by five of the six US flags put up in the 1960s and 1970s are visible on the surface of the Moon as it spins around the Sun.

The remaining flag - planted by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin during the first Moon landing in 1969 - was knocked over as the Apollo 11 craft began ascending from the surface.

Mark Robinson, an investigator with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC), said: "From the LROC it is now certain that the American flags are still standing and casting shadows at all of the sites, except Apollo 11.

"Astronaut Buzz Aldrin reported that the flag was blown over by the exhaust from the ascent engine during lift-off of Apollo 11, and it looks like he was correct.

"Personally I was a bit surprised that the flags survived the harsh ultraviolet light and temperatures of the lunar surface, but they did."

The famous Stars and Stripes may not have retained their vibrant red, white and blue colours though. Exposure to heat, cold and light may have caused them to fade, Dr Robinson added.

Flags were placed by US astronauts on all six Apollo landings between 1969 and 1972

Very interesting.

Still does'nt change my belief that they DID go but they knew all along (and
beforehand) that they could not film/broadcast/tape it for technical reasons.

So they mocked up the film/pics at Nevada (explaining the camera "anomalies" found )

So ... take ....

1) the truth
2) the conspiracy

and just shake them up together.

Simples.

( works for other conspiracies too .... )

There are a lot simpler explanations for the film anomalies than a huge conspiracy. Which particular anomalies convince you that the moon landing was a film set? Sounds like you just need a little puch into the rational to let this dead conspiracy theory go smile.gif

I can hear the conversation at NASA.

"Ok we're screwed. There's no way we have the technical capabilities to get photofilm up to moon without it getting damaged"

"But Hasslebaud gave us his awesome camera that protects the film completely"

"Naa it wont work"

"But..."

"Moving on. besides that we can't get TV to work up there either"

"But its just radio waves, they work fine in space and on Earth"

"Naa, people just wont believe it, ITS WITCHCRAFT!"

"But..."

"Moving on, so we need a solution, we either build a film set out in Nevada or....WE BUILD A TIME MACHINE!"

"..., why don't we just take the photos and film on the moon?"

"TIMEMACHINE!, MAKE IT HAPPEN"
