What century is this again?

The pastor said they had never had a black wedding before, and because a few members found it objectionable, he moved the wedding to another church, so as to address everyone's needs.

The need for these women to dress like this is their affair, question though; Would the men be so obliging if women forced them to completley hide their body?

On the second link: The link did not work so I searched for it and found the original forum post, in the debate I found this answer, though not proven I would suggest is not far from the truth. Either that ot the Pastor has no real knowledge of the Bible...

I think the church leadership did what most organizations would do in this situation - they tried to serve the members and avoid the controversy. But as the clip says, now that the couple is happily married and the immediate situation is resolved, the church needs to go back and address the problem with its racist members.

It can be frustrating how a church bends over backwards sometimes not to upset a small minority of its membership; I've seen it happen before. But usually it's a teachable moment.

If I were attending that church, I'd probably talk to my family about our options to attend elsewhere.

I can appreciate your real-world analysis of this. Adding to that, I would not be too surprised if the Pastor was force-armed into this action either by his church council members, or people in his congregation with significant pull in the community (or who are significant donors of his church).
