I'm re-reading her Vampire novels again and I have realised that it's better to start with 'The Vampire Lestat' and then go on to 'Interview with the Vampire' it makes more sence somehow.
She is releasing her new book 'The Wolf Gift' in February next year and it's a Werewolf novel, I'm looking forward to that one  |

Thanks for that Vlospire, it is always nice to hear what others are reading. Many times I've seen a review my a member and I've bought it because of that review. I find the general public are better reviewers than professional critics. The public read out of enjoyment, professional critics are doing it because they get paid to and a lot of them have their head up their own arse. So thanks.
Amazon have some brilliant reviewers by those that have actually purchased the books. I've actually reviewed a few myself on Amazon. |

I read those years ago and agree with you, it makes more sense reading them that way round. I think I was told to do it that way by someone who had already read the books.
I quite liked all her books, perhaps I will have a re-read myself.  |

I have read a few of her books.
They are alright books. The best ones, IMO, are the Mayfair witches chronicles and the vampire/mayfair crossover chronicles. I think to really understand why Anne Rice writes how she does ( I think she has a strange writing style) and why she writes what she does, the readers needs to know a little about her background and life. She's a bit of an 'oddy' to say the least. The books I most enjoyed are 'The witching hour' and 'Lasher'. I thought that 'Queen of the damned' was a bit of a flop as was Vittorio the vampire. |
