Clemmy has a lovely soft expression, Caro. I can understand you why you fell in love with her. She looks a right daddy's girl from the photos too
How long did you have George for, Joliee? |

Hi Caro - Ludo is Joliee's dog. They do have similar expressions - it's that sort of 'sad dog' look

How funny sherry, our Clemmy does that when she sees her dad go out without her,or she watches him clean the car,she stands by the window watching him, then when he comes back in she wags her tail like mad.....When she first came home with us,she looked so depressed..but in the months we have had her,I can see her expression has changed quite a bit,she is so much more relaxed with us now she knows she is safe.she lays by her dad down stairs every night now, whilst he watches TV....and he has his foot near her tummy and is giving her tickle tummy (as we call it) which she loves. sherry....take care.caro. |

We had George since he was a 6 week old pup - small enough to fit under the bed. He was nearly 7 when he was lost - and big enough to just lean down and sit on my knee

Joliee -
my heart breaks at the thought of that happening to our dog who's only three. I can only imagine how upsetting it's been for you. I'd say the comfort is that whoever found him fell instantly in love with him and didn't want to let him go.When we had lots of snow at the beginning of last year my son's dog jumped through a gap in the hedge one evening and went walkabout. To cut a long story short we had to give up searching for her after about three hours of scouring fields in the dark, and driving round streets. The weather was horrendous and we hardly slept that night knowing she was somewhere out there. We contacted police, the dog warden and the local radio and by dinner time the next day we got a response from a caller to the radio and by someone who had reported seeing her to the dog warden. So thankfully it was a happy ending, but terribly upsetting as we really thought we had lost her for good. God bless George - somewhere someone will be loving him, and maybe one day he might surprise you. Sorry Joliee, if I have made you feel worse, it's just touched a spot for me Caro - I can see from the photos how much your Clemmy loves her daddy |

She's a beautiful dog, Caro. It's strange and might sound daft but I can feel the love in her when I look at her photos.
Our Merlin is one year older than Clemmy. He will be four on 5th of May |
