does this song invoke for you? If you're old enough that is laugh.gif

This one reminds me of when I was 13 in 1973. Every Sunday night I'd go with my best mate to the Rollerina in the next town. For around three hours we'd be whizzing round and round on our hired rollerskates and showing off to the lads laugh.gif Fun days!

Here's the song

Love Train by the O'Jays

Oh I have fond memories of that year. I was in my late 60's, I recall a pop beat combo being formed, I think they were called The Beatles, however A fine young chap called Cliff Richard had already had 3 number one hits by then. Oh and the things they thought of in that year, My oh my I remember the lines of people outside the then Supermarkets of the day, International I think it was, all wanting the new fad food thing, it was ready sliced bread, what a marvel that was and all for about 2d! Matt Busby was in charge of Manchester United with Bobby Moor playing for him and Harold Macmilain was our PM.
I remember watching the 1st ever episode of Coronation street that year as well just as crap then as it is now!
But I dont remember that song Sherry, maybe my mind aint what it use to be I am 112 years old you know!

I was seventeen/eighteen.

I remember the song but not too much about anything else-I spent most of the seventies in a drunken stupor.

Well, they say if you can remember the seventies, you you wern't there! smile.gif

A lot happened in my life during the 70s, Ron. At the beginning I was still a kid and by the end I was married and had had two children with another on the way not long after laugh.gif

Oh dear! sad.gif I wish I could remember things. Perhaps it's for the better, though! I'll have to contact my old mate Woody; he'll have some idea.

Don't hold your breath though, it's probably nothing I could put on here! pjr-laugh.png

Yes, maybe your mate can shed some light on your escapades!!

I grew up quickly in the 70s but enjoyed the majority very much. smile.gif
