Sounds good! What flavour soup? My Dad first tried cooking a stir fry when my Mum left and we had no onions, but we did have a jar of pickled onions in the cupboard......

It does sound good Strafin - and so easy, too. I'd never have thought of putting a pack of soup in, I imagine it gives the stew a real added kick. Would it be Beef, Oxtail? Trace

I do a similar thing when in a hurry.Instead of just carrots I add tin of mixed veg.Usually use Minestrone soup that just gives an added twang to it

My mother was a lazy cook.
She used to make us instant mash that had the consistency of custard |

My father spent a couple of years in India when he was in the armed forces, he brought home a wonderful curry recipe and I can honestly say that I was weaned on the stuff. The smell of a curry cooking reminds me of my father, I miss him terribly.

I like the balti curries best. Had a mushroom curry last night, quite partial to that.
For you missing your Dad, Archi |
