What's the betting on either Balotelli or Rooney (or both) getting themselves sent off tonight? Match predictions anyone? I'm saying 2 - 0 to England. And I'm praying that there won't be a penalty shoot out. I couldn't stand it.

Group: Admin Posts: 19,153 Member No.: 70 Joined: 8-March 09	They weren't rubbish, and I'm hopeful that Roy Hodgeson can turn things around for the England team - given more time. Having said that, England didn't play as well as the Italians did last night. The result was the right one - I'm just so gutted that they're out. On a positive note we can now watch the rest of the tournament as neutrals and enjoy it for its own sake. I'll be supporting Spain. Why? There's too much footballing history between us and Germany for me to support them - the Italians knocked us out of the tournament and as far as Portugal is concerned, one word fits here ... Ronaldo.

As a team they did not seem to connect together. Italy was certainly the better team but England did their best I suppose. I hope they can come back in the future as the talent is out there and whoever is manager at that time must get down to trying to bring out the best.
