Mrs Tomdog's grandfather put me onto this one. I think it's a Yorkshire thing. Mince pies or Christmas cake with cheese. Sounds a bit weird? Maybe....but it's a winning combination! I just tried a mince pie with some nice blue stilton. Wow!!! Great texture and taste. Lovely :)

Don't think I've heard of that, TD - worth a try though as I like both - not Stilton, but cheese in general.

My hubby, also from Yorkshire, loves cheese with his fruit cake, any cheese. Although I don't like the mouldy ones I have found cheese and fruit cake works well.

I shall try it this Christmas, Joliee - sounds very rich though, so will have Rennies at the ready :lol:
