Finally Karl Beattie has, this afternoon, posted a message on his facebook page regarding Most Haunted, if anyone is interested. Sorry I don't know how to copy the link.

| Both Yvette and I would like to thank you for all your support over what has been a difficult weekend. Please rest assured we are doing everything in our power to bring Most Haunted back on your screens, bigger and better than ever before: more science, more fear and more interactivity. I will keep you all informed. Thanks once again, your loyalty is so very much appreciated. Lots of love, K xx |

Thanks Sandy and Les - as I said before, for all my moaning I do miss the Lives :(
Sand Dancer - November 1, 2010 06:09 PM (GMT)
Thanks Les for putting it up. I can't help thinking it's a pity he couldn't have repaid the fans loyalty by saying something long before now. Still, better late than never I suppose. ;)

Have I missed something? Why has it been a difficult weekend....
Pat - November 1, 2010 06:58 PM (GMT)
Yes, I'm wondering that too Ganda  .
Sand Dancer - November 1, 2010 07:07 PM (GMT)
Maybe it is just that another show filled 'their' spot, the one they'd occupied for so many years.
Pat - November 1, 2010 07:15 PM (GMT)
Could be, Sandy. I does love a mystery I does...plus I'm plain nosey. Laughing man

Poor babies. It must be hard, not being centre of attention. I hope they'll be able to pull through. :P

If they had taken notice of what people were saying they still might of been going.......
Arrogance and perhaps money got it the way :(
It started off a really good concept. In the early days they went the extra mile to make sure things were in place to counter the claims of fakery. In the final days they were the instigators of fakery.

 whats up have they run out of money do they want a bigger home

I agree Ganda, as soon as he said 'fear' in his statement, it reminded me of the same old same old I'm afraid. We need fresh ideas with people who're willing to treat others and their fans respectfully. The show over the weekend wasn't brilliant but the concept wasn't bad. I can't see what they could do to make it better because now their fakery will stop people from believing anything anyway. Some of the antics they've pulled (no pun intended) over the years just put me off whether it was on screen or behind the scenes :(
I thought Yvette Fielding was doing different projects anyway?
ironman - November 3, 2010 12:07 PM (GMT)
:( their are more and more paranormal shows comming out the woodwork then ever and tbh they are all fake not one is serious enough to get my vote they all have antics going on and most have been caught cheating or fakery it doesnt look good for the real ones as all the tech in the world wouldnt detract from the fact its been used in some kind of fakery in other shows and to me their is no more evidence now than there was 200 years ago and thats with all the high tech stuff of today but who knows :(

I know what you mean there IM. The Halloween programme wasn't anything spectacular. There was a huge difference in many ways to MH though, there was no constant stunts and screaming and they did seem to want to do the job right. However, the scientific side of things was still lacking and nothing out of the two nights confirmed what we would like to hear. I know sciencitific programmes don't have the 'gripping your armchair' fear to them but we find them interesting.
Sadly, when you begin to put bets on the next stunt or wonder who will be snapped at, it's time to look for something else. I feel sorry for the fans of MH, as Sherry says, she used to look forward to the lives. For me and hubby, it just got too much. We'll keep watching for anything that could be good but I fear we're in for a long waiting game :(

TBH In the end I used to watch the lives for the mistakes.
One classic, If I remember rightly there were different coloured balls (may have been different objects) one was "thrown". Stuart on the black and white night camera said it's over there, and pointed the camera in to the darkness. It's the red one! Hmmm

Ciaran O'Keefe added this update to his facebook page

Dr. Ciarán O'Keeffe finds it amusing that for some people karma has come around and bitten them on the ass...just wish it would bite harder so they learn their lesson! (And would like to congratulate all those whose karma comes around and polishes their butt!) :-) |
Some devilishly handsome rogue later quipped "Was their pile of crap even worse than your pile of crap?"

I thought Cairan O'Keefe was Karl and Yvette's mate?

the mistake i remember on MH was at the air field when yvette had the thret against her
when a shot suposed to of happend carl found a cartridge case what was a 5.56 mm not a 303 inch what would of been used in ww2
the second part was if yvette had a thret against her WHY did security show up double quick time
never watched another one from then on
