Title: Woman arrested hospital murders

Anyone heard anymore about this? Been busy so I've not caught the news properly.

What with Beverly Allit and the family doctor murdering his elderly patients. It just goes to show it doesn't mater what profession and how well respected a position murderers will be amongst them.

It's off putting knowing such people are in places where they should care.

Dont know much about it to be honest. Are they sure she did it deliberately?

Heard of a consultant being suspended over his treatment for epileptics.
Patients are being contacted to get them to change treatments.

Used to be a time where hospital was the place you felt very safe.

We've just had a shocking case here of a nurse who was convicted of killing several patients and served years in prison before she got her case re-opened.

It turned out that it was an appalling case of "evidence" that was not evidence at all. The number of deaths in her department, when compared to those nationally in similar departments, was perfectly normal. There was no sudden "wave of deaths" and there was no evidence of anyone having died from other than natural causes. There were other pieces of "evidence" that also didn't stand up to scrutiny and she was declared not guilty and released. It seems that once assumptions are made, they just go unquestioned down the line.

Psychopaths are found in ever level of society and doctors are no exception.

You're right, of course, IM. I was just relaying the news. She could be innocent, but someone has been tampering with the meds there. Putting insulin in saline drips, I think.

She's been charged tonight. Not murder, but something along the lines of tampering with medical supplies which could lead to death. That's not the right wording, but the penalty for it is life.

Rebecca Leighton, 27, from Buxton Road, Heaviley, Stockport, was charged with three counts of causing criminal damage with intent to endanger life.

She was charged with three counts of being reckless to whether life is being endangered and one count of theft of medicine from the hospital.

Ms Leighton is due to appear before Manchester magistrates on Saturday. so no sign of manslaughter or murder then 5 years at the most if that

However they word it it must have been done with intent and people have died. I hope she does get life. It's bad enough anyone going in hospital without worrying there are people there who will do what they can so you don't get better.

Also it's not good for all the dedicated people who do care and try their best for your recovery.
