LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Rambo" was the No. 1 choice in DVD rental stores during its first week of release, but failed to unseat the "National Treasure" sequel from the top of the sales chart, according to data issued Wednesday.
The belated fourth installment in the Sylvester Stallone action franchise, bowed at No. 2 on Nielsen VideoScan's saleschart for the week ended June 1, behind "National Treasure: Book of Secrets." They were followed by "The Adventures of Indiana Jones" trilogy at No. 3, and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" at No. 4. In rental stores, "Rambo" generated an estimated $8.6 million, or 20% of its theatrical gross of $42.8 million, according to Home Media Magazine. "National Treasure" slipped to No. 2 with $7.2 million. The comedy "Mad Money" was No. 3 with $5 million in its third week.
