Well, before I suddenly became more prone to laughing at tragedy than crying tears of sympathy (gosh)... Harry Potter had me tearing and depressed in the last few books. "NOOOO, JK whaiiii TTT___TTT" yep
There's also the scene with the hounds in Sword in the Stone... And Anne Frank's Diary - I knew the ending but I still had a tiny 'RAEG CRYS" moment after all. And a few scenes in Holly Black's fairytales - "You beautiful, wise, stupid faeries; why did you do THAT? And you stupider humans, arghhhh T_T Ilu anyway. //tragedy"
And CS Lewis somehow manages to make me tear up a few in most of his Narnia books, even after my laughing turn. Magic, man. Neverending Story has a similar effect.. oh gosh, tearing up now at the thought.
I ought to list books like Lovely Bones and Kite Runner and Chinese Cinderella - but they didn't make me cry, they just made me feel depressed about the world and contemplate tossing something out of the window.. >_>

"Where the Red Fern Grows"!! I read it in 6th grade and was so moved by it I recommended it to my teacher as a book to read aloud to the class (she did such things), but the wench sniffed at me and said why she she read it then if I've already read it. Arghh!! Because it was so great I cried for an hour and wanted to share the love?! ...Anyway, that's the number one book I remember crying over

When I get attached to characters, I hate when anything bad happens to them. So when I read A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks, I shed tears. Jamie was such a wonderful character and when she died, I really felt it.
