Oh, I love all of Jone's but HMC is the best! And the sequel just tops it off. I mean, not many people can create a whole different character from a whole different plce and make it connect so well. I was so surprised the second I heard Miyazaki was making it into a movie. I couldn't think of a better person.

I love the book!! I thought it was better than the movie, simply because you get to know more about the characters, it's more in-depth, and complex. Although Miyazaki also did a very good job on it, since it didn't follow the book exactly and he still made a good plot without all the complex relationships that happened. When I first saw the preview for it though, I was horrified with the 'moving castle.' My first thought was..it has chicken feet...whyyY!! kurou04.gif

I thought Howl was after Lettie .. not Betty .. oh well .I just read this book about 4 days ago. And then read Castle in the Air, the semi-sequel to it. And wow! The Movie was different, but both of them had its special flare. In the book the relationship of Howl and Sophie were a LOT more different.

Loveeeeeeeeee DWJ!!! And Howl's Moving Castle is pwnage!!! Haha, I actually read her stuff before the Hayao Miyazaki movie came out... Was really into the Chrestomanci series, though I loved this and The Castle in the Air was pretty good too. XD Little behind nowadays with her new works, but planning on catching up during the summer. XD

Neat, I didn't know this movie had a book out. I loved the movie and I've seen many times. I'm thinking of going out and buying it and Spirited Away.

I love this book. Admittedly, I watched the anime first before reading this book. I do like the book better tho, DWJ has a wicked sense of humour and a knack for story-telling. I have to get around to reading some of her other books too.

oooo I love this book! I like the movie too but I think it would be nicer if the movie followed the book more...but i guess the book isn't as dramatic. Oh, I read the book first. The author's other books are quite interesting as well.

Argh! I really wanted to read it, since I saw the film, and Howl was really cool. But the book was checked out in my library, and I don't think they had many of her other books. But I'm determined to read it some time or other!!

Seems interesting!! kurou01.gif Is it a graphic novel or manga? May I ask?

I saw the manga already but since I have watched the anime version so I didn't read it.

After hearing that, the story sounds more interesting. kurou21.gif kurou13.gif

@kaxia: it's a book written by Diana W. Jones, the anime was based on the book itself with some alternations. If you've watched the anime and loved it, then you should definitely check out the book because in my opinions and many others' here, it's better than the anime with more love scenes and humor focused on the storyline~!
