I think Terrier was her best book. The sequel doesn't come until next year though. kurou19.gif

I've only read Trickster's Choice. I haven't had the chance to read Trickster's Queen. I thought the story was interesting but a little boring at some points. Overall it was pretty good and I would read the other books if I had time and could find them.

I've pretty much read all her books, my local library is well stocked.
I would recommend them to others.

ohhh, i love pierce; her books got me hooked on the fantasy/medieval genre and reading in general. The first series of hers i read was the wild magic one, then i read her alanna series, knight, and trickster ones. I'm thinking about reading her newest book terrier, but between life and manga, i don't know when i'll have the time

I used to be obsessed with Tamora Pierce when I was younger, and she has sentimental value, because she was my first foray into fantasy...but I don't read her anymore because she's a little formulaic, and everything is so idealistic in her books. I like the basic concepts, but it's definitely a children's book.

I used to love her books. I started getting tired of them around the second Circle quartet, though. I think my favorites were the first Circle books and the Wild Magic books (the latter of which were the first Pierce books I ever read). Then again, at that young age, I had a great deal of trouble reading the 4th WM book because of the sex scene. When I read the girl knight books, it kinda passed me by, so I wasn't troubled.... until a friend pointed it out to me.... By the time I got into the second girl knight books, I was thirteen, fourteen, and wasn't as troubled by the sex. Still embarrassed me, though. :P

her books were some of the first that i ever read. i really like the girl knight series with alanna mostly because there was a little romance in it. the next series with kel wasn't as interesting to me, possibly because she didn't end up with the guy that i liked and because the story line just didn't grab at me as did the first quartet.

For the Tortall series, I've read, but don't own, The Song of the Lioness quartet (though I have the last one). I own and love The Immortals quartet. I've flipped through The Protector of the Small quartet, but it's still on my wish list; I don't own it yet. I own the Trickster duology (was actually my first purchase of the series). And I'm rapidly collecting The Provost's Dog trilogy as it comes out.

For the CIRCLE series, I haven't read (at all), or own, The Circle of Magic quartet. I own one book from The Circle Opens quartet. And we aren't even going into The Will of the Empress.

I want to get all of the books she has out, but they're getting really hard to find as time goes on. kurou04.gif

They've issued some reprints so they're not as hard to get. I've finished collecting the quartets of hers via a used book store though.

I lurve Tamora Pierce. I read them when I have had a drama-filled, too-adult-like days. My favorite is Wild Magic because the idea of it is just awesome and Numair is yummy. kurou01.gif Hehe.
