So when I think of games, my mind automatically defaults to the consoles. Xbox, PS, Wii, Gamecube, so forth. Then I think of shoot-em-ups, or fighting games, rpgs, and other stuff like that.

But honestly, my favorite game that has ever been evered is The Sims.

Life simulation. It sounds lame when you say it like that, i guess, but really, what's not to love about the sims? It's one of the only games on earth that you can play constantly, and endlessly, and never be bored or tired of the same old thing.

Those games with plots and story lines all have to end eventually, right? And when that happens, then what? We might play again just for fun. But there's never anything new or different.

So I really just love the sims. Sims 1, Sims 2, and totally bummed out about the extension of the release date of the Sims 3.

Anyone else love the sims enough to have bought every single expansion and stuff pack?

I definitely haven't bought any expansion packs, but i must admit that the sims gets so addicting. It's a good thing that, for the first few months with the game, my computer couldn't handle anything more than 1 hour gameplay or else I would've become addicted.

You know, the first cpu i tried to run the sims 2 on was a windows 2000, and it was so mind numbingly slow...

but i guess i was lacking enough of a life to stomach the awful graphics and gameplay. thinking back on it now just makes me shudder.

I love The Sims!

I first played it on a crappy computer though but I thought it was worth it.

Then came The Sims 2, which was better, I guess.
I bought expansion packs though, so yeah. Haha. Kinda sucks there's a The Sims 3, but I guess it's okay.

I can't wait for The Sims 3 to come out, though.

The only thing I don't like about this kind of games is that there are soo many cheats (yeah, all games have cheats) but because of that, I get tempted to use 'em and I guess the whole point of the game becomes pretty much pointless. Haha.

It's a fun game, though! Worth every dime.

oh, yea. i get it about the cheats.

in fact, i have just about every cheat committed to memory, but i tend not to use them because, like u said, the game just becomes pointless.

i'm all fired up for the sims 3!

Yeah, I do that too! But when I need the money (or want to speed up the baby-making process) then I just use them. Booooo to me! kurou04.gif

I canīt play games in the computer, soo thanks God there are some Sims to PS2 kurou17.gif

I like it because itīs odd from most common games released to ps2....and itīs fun to play those kind of simulation games kurou02.gif

But unfortunally there are no much different "sims". I mean, the first one was....ok. The second you have more option, but itīs somehow restricted. The "dog" version itīs ok,too, but the characters' creation is very limited. There are the bustinóut with is more similar to the pc game...with by the way I donīt like kurou21.gif

I donīt know....I was hoping to see the 3 to be released to ps2....but I guess that itīs hard to happen,ne? kurou04.gif

Then, I assume, you've gotten Sims 3 already? Isn't it like, the BEST thing of life? kurou13.gif

I really enjoy playing the Sims games~
Although I personally think it's troublesome trying to maintain the friendships in the game, it's still a game worth playing kurou05.gif

wow, I used to be a SIMs fanatic -- I did buy every expansion for the SIMS I and was about to get all of the expansions for Sims II, but school made me fall behind that I never had time to play. So, I didn't really want the expansions anymore. Plus, when I play it for too long, I sort of get bored because my Sims basically had the same routine everyday.

I'm usually excited until I get them all set up with good jobs and stuff. Then I'm bored because they just go to work and maintain the functions of life lol

I have basically every expansion, so I fiddle around with those too.

Recently got Sims 3, but uni is getting in the way and I don't have time to play it. :(

Oh, yeah... I bought The Sims 3 when it came out lol~

It's definitely much better than Sims 2 with all the new features and stuff (which I don't remember since like Kami-kun I don't have time to play with it anymore =_=). kurou21.gif

For Sims 3, I was actually quite sad that they took out some of the more amazing career rewards (by which I'm specifically referring to the Cow Plant from the Sims 2 University expansion...most amazing item ever)
