Hmmmm does the anime pokemon count as a manga ? XD i think it's pokemon who introduced me to the manga world even though i didn't know then it was one... hahaha ^-^''
If it's for the paper manga my first one was a Card Captor Sakura in colored version.
First shoujo manga (if we don't count CCS) was made by Yuu Watase and called (in french version, but it's an english title) Alice 19th and my first shounen serie that i still follow is Meitantei Konan (don't know the english name) in french version the 71st volume just came out ! XD

My first was Hibiki's Magic, and I was so sad when I realized that the author was on hiatus. After that was... MagicalxMiracle, I think, and those two magical shoujos got me hooked on similar genres. Now most of the stuff I prefer to read has romance and dashes of fantasy in them ><
