I was just wondering if anyone ever tried Terry Pratchett's books.
In my opinion, he's an execellent writer. Extremely different story lines and hilarious along with exceptional plotting.
Disc world series is amazing and Johnny Maxwell Trilogy as well.
I recently read Equal rights and to tell the truth, his writing style and intellectual use of words is very well done along with the whole story.
A must try for book readers and writers. ^^

I'm happy too find other Pratchett fans here.
I must agree, his writing style is great.I started with equal rights and right now I'm reading Wintersmith. My favorite characters are Esme Weatherwax and Commander Sam Vimes. I like his sarcastic way of writing and the novels with the Vimes and Esme are always brilliant.

Terry Pratchetts the Man!!!!!!!!!!!!! his books r so hilarious! But its gonna take me a while to get though the discworld books cause Im only up 2 mort. I think he was naturally strange, cause if i remember correctly he sed in an interview that he was a strange kid and that he read the dictionary wen he was a kid.

I really like the samuel vimes night watch series. He always makes me laugh and although I have a hard time conceptualizing some of his plot twists I still hang on and enjoy the ride. I just finished reading the Light Fantastic (I read it before the first one, somehow I always do that with his series).

Yes, some years ago I read two or three books of him - disc world bokks to be precise.
I don't remember any more which ones they were but I found them really funny. Especially when Death had an appearance. He was my favourite character.

I've been reading him pretty slowly. I started the first Discworld book almost 8 years back, and I think I'll still less than half way through the series... ^_^;;;;; Fortunately, I enjoy each one immensely. My favorite character is DEATH, actually. ;)

Pratchett is awesome. Has anyone read Good Omens, the novel he did with Neil Gaiman? I love that book :3
Did anyone know he's the one of the most shoplifted authors in the UK?

Some of the books are better than others, but yeah, Pratchett is awesome <3

I'm going to have to pull for Samuel Vines. I love the pragmatism of the Watch.
The best book of the series--as far as I'm concerned--is definitely "Jingo." It's a parody of the Iraq/Afghanistan/Iran/etc war.
