I love Vocaloids!

They sing really well, and the lyrics and everything are a lot better than American music that I hear nowadays (why are most American songs about sex and drugs nowadays anyway?! :grrr: )...okay, maybe not as good considering content, but it's put a lot better than American songs. Right now I'm addicted to Just Be Friends.

:YAY!: Vocaloid!!! I was about to start a thread about them!

:music: Personally I like them because it beats having to criticize a real singer once they produce a really sucky song. The vocaloids may sound a bit computer-narrator-y, but I like them because some songs they makes them sound as if its just some Japanese singer using the (now popular, though the trend did NOT start from T-Pain) the "T-pain" box. The whole T-Pain thing is something for another day's rant, but anyhow, T-Pain did NOT create it, he just brought it back to being popular from the old Techno age. *because T-Pain can't sing* *cough*

I like Kaito, Len, Luka, and Meiko. Sometimes Rin and Miku have nice songs, but they're hard to come by

OH! Rin's song いろは is a good song. Oh and listen to Kaito/Miku (almost everyone's version) of Good Night, Last Night. Meltdown - Rin/Len/Kaito's version(s). And~Kaito's Girl in Byakka (I don't think that's how you spell it, but it's on the same lines as that. He is singing the soundtrack song from the movie Paprika. <-- Good movie to watch BTW.)

And on holiday, we were stuck in her hotle room and my hpien was dead, so all we could listen to was that song from her phone haha, and I'm STILL not sick of it!

But I found Llevan Polka (along with the basshunter version, which is the best XD) because of Vocaloid.
So, overall; vocaloid is awesome.
Plus I firkkin love the character designs! Len is my favourite...
I mean, he's so cute! X3 Plus, he has a Keytar! *0*

Possibly my favourite all time Vocaloid song is 'Melt'/Meruto... ^_^

Love all the ones posted here. But can anyone explain how Vocaloid works? The voice is in the program and all you need to do is tune in lyrics and the exact music to go along with the voice or is it like karaoke but ur voice is the Vocaloid voice?

I really like their songs Servant of Evil, Regret Message, etc. I love the general storyline that's involved with those songs. It's so touching. <33

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Vocaloid is the program, the characters like Miku and the Kagamine twins are "voices" part of the Vocaloid program, and they don't have official songs, only official characters, and all the songs / music videos you see on youtube should be credited to the respective nico nico singers and artists who wrote them, right?

To me, vocaloid is probly has the best songs i like from japan. I listen to them everyday and im still not tired of it. The lyrics itself for their songs are a story and i love the story they tell in the song too thats also one of the reasons y vocaloid is the best to me.

To answer your question, Vocaloid is basically a program which music can be created in. There are mascots (heaps of them) eg. Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin and Len. Just google Vocaloid and see what you get :)

Ehh, vocaloids really aren't my thing but I do think that the concept behind them is interesting enough though xDD; The ones I've heard are a bit...I don't know, cutesy sounding for me x.x Then again I've never really been big on Japanese music /shrug

I love all the vocaloids >< but I think Gumi slightly more so >< I always end up singing as either her or Rin in chorus dubs.

I must say I'm more of a vocaloid duet fan than I am of a solo...I'm listening to Himitsu~Kuro no Chikai~ atm >< weird song lyric wise but so catchy
