JVC GY-DV300U Professional 3-CCD Mini-DV Camcorder

user posted image

This camera is in great shape and only has 44 actual hours on the drum.

Technical specs:
  • Manually controllable 14:1 power zoom lens
  • 1/3" 3-CCD pickup with spatial offset for superb imaging
  • Advanced 12-bit digital A/D
  • 24 bit digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Professional color matrix w/adjustable gamma
  • 700 TV Line resolution
  • Excellent low light performance (2.65 lux)
  • Maintains proper black level by correctly handling 7.5 IRE set-up
  • High-quality PCM audio (even at 110 dB SPL)
  • Professional DV digital recording (with MiniDV cassette)
  • Record directly to memory card (w/optional KA-DV300U)
  • Built-in web server for setup and control
  • Equipped with DV (i.LINK) IEEE-1394 connector
  • Optical image stabilizer
  • 0.5" color LCD viewfinder
  • XLR microphone inputs
  • 4:3 to 16:9 (letterbox) switchable
  • 115dB Smear rejection
  • Output MPEG-4 web streaming (w/optional KA-DV300U)

Comes with....
  • Azden SGM-1X Shotgun mic with original box, manual, and XLR cord to connect to camera.
  • Battery charger and 1 original JVC battery and 1 generic battery. (The generic battery does not hold a very good charge. Replacement batteries can be found on eBay and at battery stores in the $10-$20 range.)
  • ZEIKOS 3pc Lens Filter Kit - UV, Polarizing, Fluorescent (The UV lens is mounted on the camera to protect the camera lens.)
  • JVC Digital Video Cleaning Cassette
  • Original instruction manual
  • Lens cover

This is a broadcast quality SD camera that retailed for around $3500 when they came out around 2002-03. I have $1,000 invested ($850 for the camera used and $150 for the mic new.)

I will take $500 for the package. It can be picked up here in Jasonville, IN or I can ship it in the Lower 48 for another $10. Cash or paypal accepted.

The camo is H.S. Strut No Mar Gun/Bow Tape and should be easy to remove if you wanted to.

I've had several people ask me if this is an HD camera, and I apologize for not making it more clear in the description, but this is a SD - Standard Definition camcorder. It is NOT HD.

Here's a pic showing the hour meter...

Here's a link to the manual online that you can look through and maybe find out if this is what you're looking for.

Thanks and sorry again for the confusion. thanks.gif

I was using the camera today and the "good" battery only lasted about 30 minutes running time. Therefore I'm reducing the price by $50 so that the new owner can buy a couple new batteries.

You can get 5 hour batteries for around $20 on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/5Hrs-Battery-BN-V4...1-/270826571748

New price: $450

Just listed the camera on ebay with a starting bid of $350.
