It was this day back in 1967 that the MUSIC CITY NEWS presented its first annual awards at Ernest Tubb's Record Shop. Merle Haggard wins Favorite Male Artist, and LORETTA LYNN wins Favorite Female Artist.

thanks vicki,,loretta won straight thru 1978,lost to barbara mandrell in '79 and won again in 1980....i think -------------------- ALWAYS FOR LORETTA!!
