Dailey and Vincent Top Bluegrass Unlimited Charts Again
Nov. 03, 2009:

Reigning IBMA Entertainers of the Year Dailey & Vincent remain at the top of the Bluegrass Unlimited National Bluegrass Survey album and song charts for November. This makes the second consecutive month that their sophomore Rounder Records release, Brothers From Different Mothers, is in the #1 position on the album chart, while "Head Hung Down" is at #1 on the song chart.
Brothers From Different Mothers, released in March, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Top Bluegrass Albums chart and has spent 12 weeks in the top 5.
Dailey & Vincent will perform on the Tuesday Night Opry tomorrow, November 3, at 9:00 p.m. (central). Fans can tune in to 650 AM WSM or listen online at www.wsmonline.com.

In addition to being named Entertainers of the Year for the second year at the International Bluegrass Music Awards on October 1, Dailey & Vincent were repeat winners in the Vocal Group of the Year and Gospel Recorded Performance of the Year categories. On October 9 they were featured in a Wall Street Journal article titled "A Bluegrass Duo Reigns Again," which began, "A new dynasty may be taking shape in bluegrass music."

On October 20 Dailey & Vincent released their first gospel album, Singing From the Heart, a collection of a cappella songs available on Rounder Records. The project began in 2001, long before Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent began their career as a duo. The collection of a cappella spiritual songs honors the Church of Christ's practice of singing without instruments, and the album benefits the Tennessee Bible College in Cookeville, Tennessee, which is a Church of Christ institution.

This week finds Dailey & Vincent performing at the Greater Downstate Indoor Bluegrass Festival in Springfield, IL (November 6); the Meramec Music Theatre in Steelville, MO (November 7); and the Music City Centre Theater in Branson, MO (November 8). Additional information, including tour updates, is available at www.DaileyVincent.com.
