Hi there,
A friend of mine has given me a photo (by the looks of the clothes in the 70s)... The photo is in great shape, alittle bit of yellow from aging and thats about it. The problem I am having is this... I have scanned and taken a photo of the photo but I still get the lovely 1970's honey comb paper effect.... I have used the dust & straches and despeckle filters in photoshop but as you know that only has an end result of making the photo out of focus the more you use it... I have used flash, without flash, natural light,, scanned on high and mod range... Is there a neat tip anyone can give me!!!!! I am about to start pulling hair out soon |

go back in time and shoot on digital, make 2 backups, not on CD as those things are not archival, even the good ones are only 25 years. Hope to hell you do not lose your hard drives and the PCs around will still read those drives if you still have them after 3 house moves, 5 job changes and a change in partner.
Ree, if you are not printing bigger just print with the honeycomb effect, gives it a patina that places the photo in a certain era. Never noise ninja a Monet, you'll lose everything it is about. |
