You can choose which boss you fight first, but then they wake up in a predetermined order, when the one you're fighting gets down to 20%.
Left: Procreator (Dem/Gorger) Middle: Cumulator (Mea/Craver) Right: Agonizer (Holla/Thinker) If you pull Mea first, Dem wakes up, then Holla. If you pull Holla first, Mea wakes up, then Dem. We fought Holla first so that our PLD could eat food after it died. The Holla boss that spawned from the Memory Flux became very difficult to kill after it absorbed a Tavnazian Taco and Protect III, and my Finales were only removing useless things like Ballad and Reraise. We had full anima and planned to use psycho and hystero together, two pairs per mob, starting at 30% HP. This turned out to be too conservative; one pair was enough to last until the mob died. Terroanima works well to keep the newly awoken mob occupied until you're ready for it. Again, we only needed one each. We used MNK 2-hour to finish Holla, then SMN 2-hour to finish Mea. Since you don't have enough anima to keep the mobs locked down for the whole fight like you can in the first three Promyvions, you really have to be prepared to deal with the specials. For Holla, keep a dummy buff on your tank as much as possible (Barstonra casts very fast), and dispel if it absorbs something useful. And have everyone drink poison. Also bring eye drops to remove blind, and holy water to remove curse. For Mea, keep Utsusemi up as much as possible, and run away from Impalement. Also, don't underestimate the bosses at the Memory Fluxes. You might want to use a pair of anima on the Holla-type boss, and don't Protect your tank or let them eat def food; after absorbing both from us it became almost impossible to kill, everyone hitting for 0-1 damage. We ended up squeaking out a win after using Benediction and Invincible from an extra PLD along for the trip up.

I did not see the whole fight, so please feel free to add to this what I miss. Party set up: Pld, Drg, Smn, Brd, Whm, Thf Expendibles: Full anima for all members Hi-Ethers & Yagudo Drinks for mages Hi-Pots (please take plenty) HP Drinks (au'laits) Holy Water for curse Poison Pots to resist sleep AoE tossed by Holla Antidotes to remove poison (Mea NM tosses a nasty poison) Job appropriate food and last but not least, the ever popular RR item We set up & tested anima macros & hammered out order and timing. Did a 15 second wait after each anima. We set up 2 different anima orders. 2 people per mob currently being fought for Psychoanima & Hysteroanima - Starting at 30% hp, the 1st person would use Pshycho then wait 15 seconds then use Hystero with the 2nd person doing the same 15 seconds after the 1st one tossed Hystero. 3 people for mob currently waking up & needing to be kited - Starting when next mob wakes (about 20% hp on current mob) 1st person would use Terro with the 2nd going 15 seconds later and the 3rd 15 seconds after that. NOTE: Due to having 2 mobs awake at a time, I used <stnpc> rather than <bt> to ensure the anima went to the correct mob as different anima was being tossed at each mob at the same time. The battle: Entered & buffed. Everyone except the Pld ate food. Mages took mp drinks & melee took regen drinks. Everyone took poison pots w/ the plan to keep poison up until 1st mob killed at which point Pld ate food. Pld voked 1st mob with Thf using TA on Pld for hate control (was planned for Pld to 2-hr at this point for extra hate control to keep carosel away from the mages, but I didn't see if this did or did not happen). At 30% 1st person used Psycho then Hystero 15 seconds later. The 2nd person was set to use theirs 15 seconds after that, but the mob died before it was needed. At 20% when the 2nd mob woke up the 1st person used Terro on it, with the 2nd ready to use 15 seconds later. Neither the 2nd nor 3rd Terro was not needed. After 1st mob died, Thf used SATA Viper Bite to help establish hate & Pld voked. This was Mea & lots of antidotes were being taken. His poison hit at least 3 times. At 30%, Psycho / Hystero cycle was done by person 3 & 4 on the list (both used that time). At 20% when the 3rd mob woke up 4th person used Terro on it with the 2nd person going 15 seconds later. The 3rd was not need. After 2nd mob died, fight focused on final mob. Both the Smn & Drg used 2-hr on the last mob. It died before the 3rd astral flow could cycle through. Again at 30% Psycho / Hystero cycle was done by peron 5 & 6 on the list. Thf did not 2-hr, and unfortunately I had a text scroll ish from not having dmg filters turned on so I did not see if Brd or Whm used 2-hr. While we did win - we did make mistakes 1. While we meant to start with Holla (the short one w/ the big eyes), we actually started w/ Dem (what some affectionately call a "Giant Sheep Tick") due to a bit of confuison on my part as I was looking for a brainy looking mob & took it literally. We actually fought them in the order of Dem, Mea, Holla. We got lucky in that Holla did not take the Pld's food, and it's sleep special didn't keep us down too long while we were still fighting Mea. We took poison for 1st mob, but having them mixed up we got slept when Mea was low. I think Holla tossed it's sleep special when it woke up as I don't remember Mea having a sleep AoE, and we were in anima stage when we got slept. Don't think this would have happened if we'd done Holla 1st (right is the mob on the right). 2. Two Terroanima were tossed at once. I think what happened was the 2nd person not needing to use on the 1st Terro cycle figured they were up 1st of the 2nd Terro cycl, and the person set up as "4th Terro" (being 1st on 2nd Terro cycle) also went. This didn't cost us anything as the other terro was not needed, just pointing it out that we hadn't discussed unused anima. -------------------- ![]() |
