If any of you have noticed that I really haven't been on FFXI in like a week, it's cause I've become addicted to this game ><

I'm a founder for LotRO, in Alpha/Beta too. It's an interesting game but once you hit about lvl 20 things get group-based rather quickly. Which wouldn't be an issue if the community was anything like FF-XI. Let me know what you think as you progress.
Also pre-ordered TR, but to be honest it's really still Alpha stage in terms of development. Going to be interesting if they can get this out the door on time, with any kind of stability. It's definitely different and a nice FPS-style MMO. Definitely will check out TR more in the days to come though... -Ten |

i played lotro during the closed beta...didn't buy the full version until recently though. (fortunately a friend of mine is a founder, so he referred me and i got founder pricing
 )im lvl 24 now..yeah theres a bunch of group based stuff, and it can be pretty hard to find people..but if anyone knows/remembers wicket from FFXI, he and I duo a lot of stuff...plus guardian seems like a pretty good solo class. im enjoying it. FFXI certainly has a stronger community base..a lot of the time i feel like im playing an offline game...but goodness is it beautiful. that giant statue in evendim is like my favorite thing ever lol. -------------------- Exploring, contributing to, and sabotaging the last bastions of intellectualism on the internet....one message board at a time...

Sounds nice, I have been prompted to try that game numerous times by friends & coworkers. (as well as many other games) I'm curious to see how Tabula Rasa does but I'd need a new computer (bigger hard drive) to play that one. I'm also curious to see how Aion ends up playing.

Aion..I hadn't heard of that before. It looks pretty, but no prettier than LOTRO on my ultra super alienware

Tabula Rasa is pretty interesting... especially machine guns <.< ( yay for ammo drain... * sells his wallet for more bullets * ), The graphics are pretty good, and the speech the NPCs and monsters use is pretty awesome =) when walking into a battlefield, you hear people screaming things like:"Sh*t i'm out of ammo!" or "You Keep him busy, i'll sneak up on 'em!".
I'm still having pretty much fun with it during times i can't get anything done of FFXI ( If anyone else is playing it, i am playing on the EU Server... ) -------------------- 0/5 BLU GK5
