EPP Battle tactics:
These tactics should work for any standard PT configuration. SMN, RNGs, and sub-NINs are NOT required.

Note: It is better to be over-prepared than under-prepared. You can always resell what you do not use.

----------------------------

Boss-Delver
Water elemental alignment - weak to Thunder.

Boss specials
Carosel: High damage AOE attack and knockback
Promivyion Brume: High damage poison attack; might also reset hate
Impalement: High damage attack that will reset hate and take the target's life to single digits; regardless of the current total.

Expendibles:
Psychoanima - 1 each
Hysteroanima - 1 each
Terroanima - 1 each
Hi Potion - 5 each
Hi Ether - 5 for each Mage
Pamama Aulait - 1 each
Yagudo Drink - 2 for each Mage
Food - Attack food
Reraise Scroll - All

Special Gear
Tank: Tank gear for approach to the spire, and Attack gear for boss
Damager doers: Attack gear for boss

Additional Roles
Logistics:
Will need to keep track of the recollections people have, and perform a pre-Promyvion check before departure to make sure everyone has a complete set of expendables

Tactical command:
Will call out tactical events that have to be coordinated as a whole party.
1). Call out starting berserk cycle
2). Anima Usage (both the call to ready and use)

ie: Person 1, terroanima up.
Person 1, use.

3). Call to engage Delver
4). Call group movement through danger zones (getting past groups of empty where the party movement has to be coordinated)
5). Call use of teleporters

Approach to Spire

1). Avoid combat as much as possible
CODE

2). Use same process as for Mea to get past memory receptacles, i.e. kill light and dark strays, kill memory receptacle, tanks gather strays and take them to bard, bard and blm use sleep.

2a). Note: since the patch strays have become alot easier to kill, they will automatically charge whoever has the Memory receptical's aggro, and can be killed in 1 or 2 hits... even on the highest levels; as such, crowd control/sleep is not required if strays can be killed in 1 or 2 hits.
2b) Have the PT stand in places where empty seed from the Memory receptical will not knock people back into random aggroing Empty. (ie: have the PT stand by cliffs)

Delver Battle

Special tactics
As needed, all party members use Hi-Potions to keep health above 200, WHM will cure at their discretion.

Carosel:
High damage AOE attack and knockback
Important! carosel is killer! Have a hystero-anima user and alternates assigned immediately in case things go wrong!

Promivyion Brume:
High damage poison attack; might also reset hate

Impalement:
High damage attack that will reset hate and take the target's life to single digits; regardless of the current total.

General strategy of anima use
First use psychoanimas
Then use terroanima until berserk has recycled
Use hysteroanima until the end of delver fight

*make sure to start hysteroanima usage before the boss starts spamming it’s specials; this might occur before terroanima starts or psychoanima is finished.

Main tank should be the first in any sequence since they are the most likely to die
Tactical Commander will be the last to go in any sequence, and will save their anima for emergency use if things go wrong

Remember the range for anima seems to be around the range of a provoke, and you have to be facing it enough to be able to hit it with a ranged attack.

Also, occasionally you will get frozen by anima usage for 10-15 sec. So people doing something timing critical should not be counted upon to use anima immediately before any of their timing critical actions.

Enter the Arena

Before Engaging Delver
Everyone take Food
Everyone gets Protect, Shell
Attack and Accuracy Songs
Everyone takes Au'lait
All mages take Yagudo Drink

Start of the fight and start use of Psychoanima
Melees berserk and engage Progenitor at call of tactical commander.
2nd tank uses psychoanima and hysteroanima at call from tactical commander.
Main tank uses mighty strikes.
Focus on damaging the boss without breaking aggro-control.
Fight normally until psycho-anima are depleted using expendibles as appropriate.

Start use of Terroanima
Melee use ranged weapons to continue building TP.
BLM cast for magic damage and rest as appropriate.
Other mages cast and rest as appropriate.
Melee's notify when Berserk has recycled
Make sure party has at least one Terroanima left

Start use of Hysteroanima
Once boss has stopped running, Melees use Berserk
Once boss health is low (like 20%), finish it

Note
Be very careful with the Mea boss. It's built to kill.
The more hi-potions people bring, the better.

----------------------------

VERY IMPORTANT

Everyone needs hi-potions for this encounter (even mages)

Melees! You are primarily responsible for taking care of your own health!

Mages! You still have to heal the melees! There are only a limited number of space for hi-potions.!

WHM's! Do not waste time or mana casting raise!

-----------------
-----------------
Kiting works reasonably well for this boss. You can probably get the boss to ~ 70% of his health before having to use anima

From Kaithran:
Alternative Mea Tactics: Party Setup (SMN/ Blink-tank)
----------------------------------------------------

to complete this promivion in the below-stated fashion, you will need the following: SMN with leviathan or fenrir; two blink tanks; and three other random people (rangers are good, as are blm, as they can deal damage from a distance).

ITEMS TO BRING:

melee: 5 hi-potions, 3+ antidote, 1 au lait (pamama or better), attack food, reraiser/scroll of reraise

mages: 1-3 hi-potions, 3+ hi-ethers, 2+ yagudo drink/melon juice, mage food, reraiser/scroll of reraise

This empty is reportedly weak to lightning, so keep that in mind when facing it. once inside the spire, let everyone take food and use utsusemi before the smn blinks the whole group. once you have buffs and the mages have rested to full, the fun begins:

1) before all else, the smn will summon leviathan or fenrir (important) and use either tail whip or crimson howl. both of these attacks will lower the mob's accuracy. the smn can release or use his summons as he sees fit, keeping in mind he MUST have enough MP for blood-pacting at 50%.

2) the mob should be in the middle. if you have rangers, black or red mages, etc, spread out. one ranger on each far side, etc. that way, carosel is guarenteed not to hit everyone. make sure any long rage damage dealers are NOT near the whm or smn.

3) your blink tanks can be war/nin or nin/war. they will dual tank the mob until 50% life. no animas need be used until this point.

4) at 50% life, the SMN is to summon an avatar (prefferably ramuh, since the monster is reported to be weak to lightning). he uses two-hour, then blood-pacts. as soon as this happens, have someone use hysteroanima (due to confusion last time, psychoanima was used and four died. ; . make sure you try and keep up hysteroanima, and if something goes wrong, have someone set up to use terroanima. the two times ive done this, we only used 3-4 animas total.

5) at this point, the mob should have 35-40% life. have the tanks (if they are war) use two-hour.

6) at 30% life, have any other melee (except nin or blm or, God forbid, whm) use two-hour.

7) at ~10-15% life, if needed, blm can 2-hour, as can the ninjas if you have them.

8) if enough time has elapsed, SMN may have blood pact again. i suggest he use it if the mob has any life remaining.

it is imperitive to use hysteroanima at 50%, as this is when the monster will try spamming his specials. remember, the range on anima is approximately that of provoke. remind everyone to watch their hate, as carousel is killer. hopefully, this attack will be kept to the middle and absorbed by the tanks' utsusemi, but things can, and do, go wrong.

good luck, and... well, good luck. <.<;; this isnt even the hardest one you must face; that honor will go to holla.

Had been told mea boss was weak to thunder. This was incorrect. Partially weak to ice. Weak to stone.

Thunder x 4 - 10dmg each
Blizzard x 3 - 33dmg each
stone x 1 - 27dmg
stone II x 6 - 5x103dmg 1x6dmg

Once I figured this out, I nuked the snot out of it and we barely used any anima for the win.
