Last night we took two groups through the Mithra Trackers fight. One "superkite" party, and one "summoner 2hr" party.

The Alliance as a whole was short on Siredon Grilles.

The superkite group (two grilles total) had one party member kiting two Shikarees to start with while a fighter/mage camp setup hammered on a fish-debuffed Z in a distant part of the (rather large) arena. So far so good, Z went down, but then somehow (and maybe someone else can elaborate on this) our fighter/mage camp had two Shikarees on us and we wiped. We reraised, rested, and then started over with X and Y in their starting positions. We decided which one to kite and which to voke/grille, and after that things went--eh--fairly well. Finished in 24 minutes including time for sickness.

The SMN party had 2 summoners and beat the record. Get them clustered together, hammer them with Garuda (it was windsday even, lucky people!). They quite possibly spent more time buffing than actually fighting the Trackers. Finished in less than 4 minutes.

If you have a superkite party it would not be a bad idea to come well-equipped with the Siredon grilles. SMN party I'm not sure if it even matters, or, you may end up using one at the beginning and not need any more.

Anyone else from the superkite party, feel free to fill in the blanks. For example, I don't remember if our kiter fell first, or our tank.

SMN fight lasted a little over a minute 3 aerial blasts killed all trackers so we spent way more time on buffs.

I never fell, I think what happend was because the mithra's share hate when using weapon skills, once they got TP by meditate they ran over to the person that had hate at the time. Kiter has 0 hate, just initial aggro to hold onto.

Theory B would be the use of AoE's by the mage party, specificaly bard spells, those seem to mess up kite hate badly. Though interestingly enough, the pets stayed on me the entire time, so it is true that hate of the pets is seperate from that of the mithras.

So in the end, with the super kite, you can only hope to have the pets on the kite the entire time.

actually the mithras' AI will cause them to WS together.

The way the combat should have worked was that we would pull Z and try to kill her fast. Use a grille on Z to delay her WS. If Z does starts to WS, X and Y would run over and I would ele seal + sleepga them. All of this was done.

But, the other BLM was suppose to cover me with his ele seal + sleepga once the mobs woke up. Unfortunately, he casted too early; and his sleep bounced. =/

The kite PT did recover by using the die and RR tactic. And they still won, so it's all good.
