So anyways, I guess I wont be on for a while. My mom needs her statement before I can enter a new card #.

Just reenter the card, that's all you need to do. It happened to me about 3 months ago. You won't be billed for this month, but at the start of next month they will bill you twice. I had heard that this was a penalty of some sort for reactivation, but when I saw my statement it was clear that it was just the billing from the first month that never went through, combined with the billing from the second month.
Also your mom shouldn't be worried about any problems with the card. When it happened to me, I actually had the preauthorized debit for $15.95 sitting in my online banking statement. The bank okay'ed it but something glitched on SE's side (and there was no way I didn't have the funds), and made it seem as if it didn't go through.
So I would just reenter the info, reactivate your content ID's and you should be good to go.
