Although these tactics are applicable to all 6-man BCNM60's, the specifics are for the Waughroon Shrine battle.
For Waughroon Shrine, the general order of killing is: BLM -> WHM -> DRK -> WAR -> THF -> PLD.
Or by names: Jabbertongue -> Legslicer -> Cruelheart -> Hideousmask -> Jestergrin -> Hotblood.
Generic tactics
------------------------------
Enter BC, buff, a BLM opens up with ES + sleepga2, somone silence opposing BLM, go from there...
Elemental seal is very important for getting sleepga2 to stick; especially if it's an underleveled BLM.
The sleepers need to remember to keep distance away from the mob. If not, the enemy casters and melees will seperate, making sleep control far more difficult.
Of note: Sleep the THF and PLD mobs when they 2-hour and move on to the next mob (ie: no DOT - including elemental debuffs - on THF and PLD until after their 2-hour)
PLD is saved for last to be our aspir buddy.
Remember: Take your time, do not rush.
------------------------------
------------------------------
For Horalis Peak, the order is:
BLM -> DRK -> WAR -> MNK -> || RNG -> PLD
or, by names
Keeneyed -> Undefeatable -> Armsmaster -> Longarmed -> || Mind's-eyed -> Invulnerable
And Sleep the MNK and PLD mobs when they 2-hour and move on to the next mob (ie: no DOT - including elemental debuffs - on MNK and PLD until after their 2-hour)
Lessons learned from BCNM 60 battles
I’ve tried to list some of the difficulties I’ve seen parties run into in BCNM 60 fights. Please understand that these “mistakes” represent decisions made under the combat stress of a BCNM by pretty solid players, so they are things that could happen to anyone. If people find this to be helpful, then I will organize similar threads for other BCNM fights.
----------------------------
Problem
Party member woke up MNK mob shortly after MNK had used 100 fists, MNK killed party BLM.
Solution
Do not interfere with sleep control (and be careful with auto attack). It is very important that your party is only fighting 1 mob at a time.
Ideally when a mob uses a time duration special like hundred fists or invulnerability it should be kept sleeping until its special expires.
----------------------------
Problem
Party member woke up sleeping RNG mob while party was engaged fighting another mob. Party member killed by RNG mobs Eagle Eye Shot.
Solution
Do not interfere with sleep control (and be careful with auto attack). It is very important that your party is only fighting 1 mob at a time.
For the RNG type mobs close to melee range and make sure they are debuffed with paralyze and blind before you wake them.
----------------------------
Problem
Party member initiated engagement with BLM mob with a ranged attack. BLM woke up and used Sleepga on BCNM party.
Solution
Wait until mage mobs are debuffed (silence, paralyzed, slow) before waking them. Also, closing to melee range will cause them to try to periodically melee attack instead of casting.
----------------------------
Problem
Party member did not use elemental seal with Sleepga, so mobs either resisted outright, or got onto different sleep timers.
Solution
Some mobs have different levels of resistance to sleep (in particular mobs like PLD). To prevent partial resists of sleep, use elemental seal with Sleepga spells.
----------------------------
Problem
Sleep control party members were separated so when mobs woke they spread out making hitting all of them will AOE sleep control more difficult.
Solution
Both Sleepers (or anyone with aggro) need to stand close together to prevent mobs from spreading out.
