That Nero looks downright obnoxious, especially the super bright blue pants and the bizarrely colored sword. The Dante skin's better than most of the MS paint recolors that get released here, but you guys definitely have some seriously inflated opinions of yourselves. you fancy yourselves something special, but you haven't actually done anything unique.
"Sorry for all the tags, but we need to get famous!"
Get over yourselves. You're even more self-absorbed than Alexx, and absent his good mod ideas, sense of style, or skill.

ThinRed, you could do that to get more people into your mods on youtube too, but you don't. So what if they want to get public spotlight on their mods? Hell, they might even become official DMC Modders. Im no fanboy, you could be an official modder or get famous/whatever too ThinRed, you just dont feel the need for it and you drag your ego around to screw on others fun. Seriously, have you seen many DMC mods into a spotlight? Sure random youtube vids work. How many people go to this site, the only DMC modding site? I count around 20, so thats why their trying to get "famous".

I think the point is the mods look like crap, and you shouldn't advertise crap.

And BTW, the bottom bubbles on Nero in DT are blue :P Gives him a funky looking effect but those are the only blue things. Errr by bubbles, I mean the aura..bottom half is blue while tops red

First, there's no such thing as an "official modder." I'm not even sure what you're trying to get at there. You think Capcom is going to hire some random ass skinners? Only company that actually hires modders is Valve, and the skinning scene for every valve game is about 10 times as skilled as the jokers around here (myself included). Second, if they're looking to get famous, they're most definitely barking up the wrong tree. Modders don't get famous. even less so when "modding" is defined as skinning. In any other skinning community, they'd be laughed at by everyone, not just me. Read my posts, particularly my releases. I've never made them flashy, I've never tried to tell everyone how "amazing" my skins are. in fact, most of the time, I say straight out that I think my skins suck, but the standard of quality in DMC modding is so low that people like them anyway. That's what these guys are trying to capitalize on - the low standards of the dmc community. You can be mediocre and still be at the top of the scene here. Protip: Never call your own creations amazing, its tacky as fuck. So is the colorful text/ExTrEmE CaPs in the releases and the super duper video editing. If they put as much work into the skins as they did that initial ad video, they might have actually made something good.
By the way: "How many people go to this site, the only DMC modding site? I count around 20, so thats why their trying to get "famous"."

Nah, it's not really an opinion.
Most of the "mods" on this site are crap. They are oversaturated, flat recolors, or full of random annoying symbols and glyphs. The mods in this thread are guilty of a little of each of these. Not only that, but they often clash with the aesthetics of the rest of the game, or don't fit the characters wearing them.
Then, advertising those sub par reskins as something amazing is ludicrous, because it just comes off as self absorbed egotism.

The reason there are mods and skins is to play to your preference, maybe some people wanted Dante as a darker person or without cowboy boots and straps. I dont mind them though, but yeah. I didnt like Nero's outfit that much or his regular Devil Bringer, this flaming one makes it cooler IMO. But whatever man, I enjoy the mods on this sight, its given me a reason to replay every DMC mode.

Sorry for double post...Razor, theres one issue with making the aura and stuff orange..it changed a couple of background stuff like dust, devil trigger orbs, dante's style switching auras into orange as well. The ground dust when you jump is orange too, so IDK if that can be fixed but im just bringing it up.

There are other skins on this site that do that, and they aren't done as poorly.

ThinRedPaste I've never made them flashy, I've never tried to tell everyone how "amazing" my skins are. in fact, most of the time, I say straight out that I think my skins suck, -------------------------------------------------------------------- So why do you release mods that you think suck, its outright stupid as fuck. I don't know about you but if I create for example a new fractal artwork, got a result that sucks, I don't fucking upload it like that, I work on it until I'm satisfied with the quality!

If they put as much work into the skins as they did that initial ad video, they might have actually made something good. -------------------------------------------------------------------- So you cant make cool videos to promote your mod huh? And you cant make cool text because its a rule in HA that every mod has to be in this format -
umm... yeah this is a mod I made .... it sucks but I'm releasing it anyway ... download link is somewhere around here ... umm oh yea there it is. you wont probbably like it ... but im releasing it anyway ...
So what if their mods arent "THAT" good yet, that dosent mean that the presentation has to suck too (No offence DMCdesigns I don't acctually think your mods suck) ------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, there are 240 members, but only about 20 of them seem to visit the site regularly!
