Heh I love this one: 'Cyrus takes Babylon'
And this one: 'De Bruijn, Cornelis' - rather Dutch, isn't it?
Could you divide this list into a First Names list and a surnames list?

QUOTE
Memnon of Rhodes
Mentor of Rhodes

those two guys were brothers...greek commanders of mercenaries in Persian army service fighting against Alexander and ohter greeks....
if we include in the list Greeks "bribed"(controled) by Persians then its good to add Greeks who lived in 510 like Istiaios and Aristagoras......but on the other hand those turned against persians later...

also if u want specific historical kings for factions like Sparta,Athens,Makednon (since historical kings are used for Perisa and Illyria) to have more variety and distinct between factions names of hellenic factions then check the wiki in the bottom of the list were the specific dynasyies are mentioned

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ancient_Greeks

i ve better lists too but they are in greek language.....oohh Nero for Thrace are the names used in vanilla Greek? (i wanted to mention that but always forgot it)
coz there should be barbrian names more....(maybe a couple of Greek since rarely the Thracian chiefs called Greeks to manage them.....but not belonged in Thracian "royal houses" of any kind thouygh)

.....also i add a few Epriots king names in which we have shortage and that could be implemented to the current list....since those certain names were very popular in that faction

neoptolemos
elenos
admetos
alketas
tharypas
alexander
aryvvas
aiakides
pyrros

Thrace uses the Vanilla RTW Thrace names. You can find those in RTW\Data\descr_names.txt
They all sound pretty un-greek, here are a few examples:
Blendidoros
Brinkazis
Brinkazeis
Brinkainos

Maybe we should create a names thread for each faction in the faction subforums, that would be the best solution.
So Prince Laridus, could you move this thread to Persian faction stuff and the Illyrian thread to the illyrian faction stuff?

With Persian names, if you want them in Persian, it would be like this (I havent read all of them, but neway):

Achaemenid = Hakhamanesh
Cyrus = Kourosh
Darius = Daryush
Artaxerxes = Artakhshathra
Xerxes = Khashyarshah
