Hoyt was excited about the Halloween party. Halloween was on Friday this year, which made it the perfect party night. Hoyt had and Landon had rented out the Bait Shop and invited everyone. They had even stopped and invited people from the store where they got their costumes. This was going to be a fun night, hopefully no fighting, but seeing as the other parties had all been ruined by fighting. Well maybe not ruined, but where distracted. Then again he wouldn't be Hoyt if he didn't have an after party, and well the after party he had with Kacee was more than memorable. He was just disappointed she passed out.

The party had started and was instantly packed. The people who had already shown up were looking good, the only requirement to get into the party was you had to wear a costume. Hoyt was standing next to the bar as a Demon Warrior. It was scary and he knew that without removing his mask no one would know it was him. That was the fun part about Halloween. He wasn't trying to look hot, he wanted to be scary, and since he hadn't told any of his friend what he was going as well he could play tricks on them all night.

Hoyt was holding a beer in hand as he walked around the party. Landon was supposed to arrive with Carrie, and well seeing as she was a girl he wasn't expecting them to show up any sooner than fashionably late. So for now he was trolling the party looking for his future hook up.

Cole walked into the halloween party seeing as he told Hoyt he'd come. Cole wasn't a big fan of parties recently after the last one where he sent Zander to the hospital and was blamed for everything. But, Cole figured that a party could do him good right now.

Cole walked over to the bar and got a bottle of beer. He hadn't really been drinking lately either but he figured one wouldn't hurt him. Cole had changed what he was going to be like three times before finally settling on Captain Jack Sparrow. Cole looked pretty good in it too and had the voice down that Johnny Depp did for him so it was a pretty god constume all together. Cole looked around trying to see someone he knew. He was hoping for Cali but would settle for anyone right about now.

Cali walked into the Bait Shop, she was not feeling in a particular party mood tonight. Yes, it was Hallowe'en but everything was so messed up at the minute and she had no idea what to do or where to go, and she felt completely overwhelmed. Everything with Seth, and Kacee as well as everything with Lexie and Cole. But she had promised she would be here.

She was supposed to be coming with Taylor but they had agreed to meet here, it was easier, given that she was technically still under House Arrest, and had to beg to be allowed to come. So Cali readjusted her wings of her Angel of Death costume and looked around the room.

She broke into a smirk as she spotted Hoyt by the bar. He might have decided he would not show her what he was wearing, but there was a reason that Landon was one of her best friends. Keeping the smirk on her face as she walked over to the bar. "You know the great thing about having best friends, is that they tell you what the hottest guy in the room is going to be." She winked at Hoyt. "So what? You wanted to scope out the talent? I'm still the hottest girl in the room though - right?" She teased as she leant against the bar and looked at him.

Lexie wandered into the Bait Shop, her long blonde hair curled enough to accentuate her costume. She had changed it at the last minute after hearing that Jenny had decided to go as Alice in Wonderland as well. So now she was a greek goddess, well a slightly slutty one. Wearing high heels which showed her incredibly long legs which were completely uncovered by her costume.

Then she spotted him, she was not in love with Cole, not even slightly, he had taken her heart and smashed it, even when he had promised he wouldn't. She was going to make him pay and although with Zander's exit she had no idea how she was going to do that, she was still determined to do that.

Lexie walked towards him, doing the slow walk to accentuate how little clothing she actually had on, she saw a few other boys looking her way. And a smile crossed her face, as she walked towards him, she was going to ruin his life, and if that meant keeping him from Cali then so be it. She would smash his heart the way he had smashed hers.

"So I bet you think that your girlfriend is the hottest girl in the room." Lexie looked over to Cali, funnily enough she had not gone for a slutty look. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed herself against him. She whispered into his ear seductively. "What if I told you, I was only wearing this, and a pair of white lacy underwear which are so ready to be taken off." She pulled back and looked at him, her eyes filled with seduction.

"Look I know I've been a sucky girlfriend and weird okay? But I promise that's all going to change now. You and me forever right?" She stroked her finger along his jaw. "Now could you please kiss me already because I've missed you?" She smiled in one of her Lexie ways, wondering if he could tell how much she had changed because of him.

Cole smiled seeing Cali walk in. He was getting ready to go talk to her when Lexie came over to him. He smiled a little knowing that she was still technically his girlfriend but when she mentioned it, he thought of Cali and not her. He smiled a little again, not answering her question.

Cole looked at her and said "There's something different about you..." He wasn't sounding seductive or anything. He was serious. He could tell that she was acting different. Like she was trying to pull off a slut or something as if that's what Cole liked. He looked at her then glanced back to Cali. He just looked at her and didn't kiss her when she told him to. He couldn't kiss her because he didn't love her or anything anymore. The only girl he wanted to kiss was Cali Sawyer and he didn't see that happening tonight.

"Cole!" Lexie said grabbing his chin and making him look at her. "You can go talk to her if you want." Lexie shrugged knowing he was looking at Cali. She kept her hand on his chin, though she looked over her shoulder. "But my guess is she'll get it on with Hoyt the way she did last week. She totally gets around, it wouldn't suprise me if she'd try to sleep with you again."

She laughed as she said it but could tell from the look on his face that if Cali had tried then she had also succeeded. "Baby?" He was being a jerk, and if she hadn't been prepared to put up with his shit to get her own way, then she would have been totally mad at him. But she already knew how to play this, and what she was going to tell him.

She turned him round so that he had his back to the bar and to Cali now, and moved up and kissed his lips gently. "There is something different about me though, and I'm glad you brought it up but I'm not sure here is the right time, to talk about it." She pressed her lips together and gave him her innocent eyes. "You love me Cole, right?" Acting as innocent as she was reknowned for, pressing her lips together looking slightly sad as she looked down and then back to his eyes.

Cole looked at her with a look saying if she tried to then he'd let her. Cole didn't do anything when she kissed him. He sighed a little and said "I'd rather talk about it now" He shrugged then didn't answer if he loved her knowing if he didn't answer she'd figure it was a no.

Cole sighed and said "And Cali isn't a slut or a whore or anything like that" He nodded back to Cali then looked to Lexie again. "I'm sorry Lexie but i can't do this." He took her hands off him and took a drink of the beer he had in his hand. He shook his head and said "You wanted to know if i loved you, well i don't ok. And i didn't think you were a rebound girl at the time but maybe you just were ok. I'm sorry i've made your life hell"

Lexie pouted as he pushed her away, then looked down clasping her hands together. Sighing, letting her shoulders rise and fall hugely to emphasise her point and her sadness. She looked up at him and let her eyes fill with tears, as she nodded at him.

"Well thankyou for the honesty. I um...I just had something I needed to tell you." She took a step towards him and closed the space there had been when he released her. "I'm pregnant." She whispered beside him, before stepping back, and looking at him. Her brown eyes still faking sadness, she gave him a small smile. Before starting to walk past him. "Oh and it's yours." She said looking back at him before heading out of the bait shop and on to the pier. Staring out at the horizon, a confident smile on her face.

Cole listened to her then sighed. He didn't know if she was being serious or if she was just trying to screw him over. "Shit..." He said tohimself and headed out to the peir with her.

"are you serious or just shitting me?" he asked sternly looking at her. "Because if you're just doing this to screw me, not literally, then don't ok. I've already been through this once and i don't need someone telling me their pregnant if they're not." Cole crosed his arms acrossed his chest looking at her. "So are you, or are you not pregnant? because if you are, i'll support the child but i can't pretend to love you. My dad did that with my mom and i swore i'd never do that to someone" He took another drink of his beer and looked at the bottle to see how much he had left before putting it down to his side again.

Lexie let her fierceness appear on her face as she turned towards him. "Who the hell do you think you are?" She said letting tears appear in her eyes. "And since you've been through this already - you should know that this is a huge deal!"

She turned away from him again and wiped her tears. "Oh but I forgot if you do things this way, then you still get to have your dream of little miss heiress as your wife - right? She doesn't want you Cole! Don't you get that? She's not with Zander, she's not with Seth and right now she is talking to Hoyt not you because you are not at the top of her list!" Lexie was almost shouting now as she spoke to him.

Lexie turned back to look at him. "This is your baby, and I stupidly believed that that would mean something to you - that I meant something to you." Tears were running down her cheeks now. "But no you're right this way is so much more fair - because this means I lose ALL of my dreams and you still get to have yours." She turned her back to him and continued her silent crying, crossing her arms and hugging herself slightly.
