Was a debate for myself whether or not I should've posted in either lounge or here, but since it was on TV, I'll just post it here.

Yeah. As a lot should know....tonight was Beijing's opening to the entire world for the Summer Olympics for this year. The opening ceremony was spectacular, phenomenal, and technically there is nothing else I can really describe of how awesome the opening was to these summer games. If anyone else here watched the openings or wanted to watch it, but was preoccupied and like the Olympics, feel free to post your thoughts. I for one really loved the opening.

The Olympics are one of my favorite things to see, because it just brings the world more closer. Regardless of racial, religious, and gender, everyone accepts everyone else there and it's just all great and fine...and that's one of the major things I love about the Olympics. Where tons of people from around the world come together to compete in various activities to earn cool looking medals for their countries. Not mainly for the medals, but I'm sure more for the experience with participating with people from across the planet. It's just plain awesome.

Thoughts please? Anyone catch it here locally in the U.S. just recently? Not to mention that Beijing, China is approximately 11 hours ahead of us central standard time.

Oh and China also has 639 athletes this year. O_O

I ve seen a bit of it, very spectacular indeed,
I liked the way they made the Olympics symbol out of light, and that it flew in the air, with flying elves around it. I also loved the keyboard with chinese signs on it, of which the tabs went up and down which formed a very nice display.

I saw just few parts... This time around I kind of skipped it and didn't give it much attention.

Beijing is a deathtrap for Olympians. Athletes need oxygen. Beijing has everything else.
