342 - Lucky Charms with Sharets, Part of a nutritious breakfast.

I find it interesting that Sarai doesn't know what a human is. I assumed rodents were taught basic history and seem to know about the "Fall of Man", so I'd expect them to know about humans, but perhaps Sarai is too young, and/or being a slave doesn't yield many educational benefits.

Sharet looks weird the first two panels, then abruptly looks adorable in the third, espiecally with her floating there. Her dialogue seems to have a bit of Sam leaking through it, though. Sarai looks very wonky in the last panel due to weird perspective.

One cannot learn if one does not try. @.@;

Looking at it again I think its actually because Sarai is in a weird perspective, but Sharet doesn't seem to be, which doesn't seem to make any sense. Sarai by herself actually looks pretty good.

I tried with Sharet, right down to using a transform and some edits to exaggerate Sharet's lower parts. The poofy pants kind of sell it short, but the whole shot was meant to be the same upward angle.

I can see what Erik means about the final panel, the two girls do seem to be operating at slightly different angles, but it's hardly jarring to me .

I'm going to say that not knowing about humans is something that can fit through the holes in Sarai's knowledge of the world given her age and thus far less than privileged upbringing. It also justifies her reaction last page fairly well, although honestly I'd have been fine with it just being a funny moment, again with her age and general lightness in terms of personality the little irrational moment would fit, but that's not to say giving one is any kind of a bad thing ^^.

I also see what Erik means about a bit of Sam leaking through Sharet at the end. It's a minor point, but the impression of a shattered struggling mind that I've gotten of Darin so far clashes with the organised, planned and thought-ahead tones of "Setting the stage for us". I guess it's just a turn of phrase, and might be part of how Sharet talks, but if Darin has something else to show them, putting it that way makes him sound kind of calm and in control, like he's patiently walking them through things almost as a mentor, when the impression I've got so far and what I think is intended is that he's struggling a lot and has only a shaky control at best, and is sharing his burdens simply out of a base instinctual desire for help. So yeah, that was a thing, but a small thing. If one were to divide the chapters into sub-chapers, I think this is what I would mark as the start of one, this or possibly the previous page. I'm interested to see what will come next .
